Amid the majestic, snow-capped Alpine peaks lies a verdant valley, nestled at an altitude of 1,000 meters, through which a lively river runs.

We finally think that Hublot has reached the point of no return. For a while, we were ok with their limited edition business model but after seeing this disjointed collaboration with Nespresso, we finally think that they’ve hit rock bottom. Referred to by Hublot as a collaboration between two Swiss brands combining innovation and sustainability, the Big Bang Unico Nespresso Origin is the result of the partnership between Hublot and Nespresso.

In 2021, Hublot presented the Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Sapphire and this year at Watches & Wonders 2023, they have released the Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Carbon with a new integrated bracelet and case made from carbon fiber and texalium upper layer in a grey monochromatic look. With a case and bracelet made entirely from texalium and carbon fiber the watch is light as a feather at 67.9 grams of total weight.

Last year Hublot released the Square Bang as the first square-shaped watch for the brand. Somewhat reminiscent of the Santos de Cartier is almost impossible not to think of the Santos 100 when looking at this watch from Hublot. This year at Watches & Wonders 2023, Hublot have added several iterations of this watch but one that stands out from the rest is the new Square Bang Unico Sapphire 42 with its transparent sapphire crystal case.

First released in 2018, the Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf in white texalium was later released in green texalium during Dubai week 2020 and also in navy blue. Now, the Big Bang Unico Golf is cloaked in sky blue texalium for Watches & Wonders 2023.

Brazilian player Edson Arantes do Nascimento known mononymous as Pelé has passed at the age of 82 and leaves this world as the only player able to win three FIFA World Cups. Released at the end of last year to celebrate Hublot’s largest flagship in the U.S. on Fifth Avenue in New York City, the Hublot Classic Fusion Concrete Jungle New York Limited Edition takes innovation one step further. After a few months, we finally got to peruse the watch in the ‘concrete’ —no pun intended— and we are quite impressed with it. Since Hublot has always remained at the forefront when it comes to the use of new materials for their watch cases, conceiving a watch case made out of concrete is a first in the watch industry and a first for the brand.

Black rhinos in Kruger Park have disappeared dramatically and today there are estimated to be less than 500 remaining. Moreover, in late March 2020, the South African border was closed to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Prior, the day-to-day influx of foreign visitors had kept the poachers at bay.
