The residential project named Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. Residences aspires to achieve the record for the world’s tallest residential structure. The event celebrating the reveal of Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co. Brilliant Flying Tourbillon Tsavorites is cased in 18K yellow gold with an invisible gem-set of 170 baguette tsavorites with a total weight of 12.10 carats. Tsavorite is the trade name used to refer for the emerald-green variety of a grossular garnet that comes from Africa. In 2014, Messi was still visiting the Audemars Piguet manufacture around 2014 and who knows what happened since them, but somehow that close friendship and relationship ended. All that we know, is that Messi loves watches and he is now partnering with Jacob & Co. and Jacob Arabo. Right before Baselworld 2019, Jacob & Co. presented the first watch from their relationship with Leo Messi and we were finally able to check it out during Baselworld last week.

Jacob & Co. was founded by Jacob Arabo, an immigrant from Uzbekistan that is very well know for selling high ticket jewelry creations, timepieces and diamonds to a handful of celebrities and hip-hop and rap music artists. As his company flourished in the 1990s and Mr. Arabo became 'Jacob the Jeweler' —a nickname that first made its appearance in several rap songs....

A couple of weeks ago, we gathered with a small group of VIP watch collectors from Mexico City and our friends from Jacob & Co. to present for the very first time in Mexico, the three Astronomia timepieces. With a perfect setting at the ultra exclusive Executive Members Club Piso 51 located in the heart of Mexico City, we hosted a relaxing evening with champagne, hors d'oeuvres and incredible timepieces. As the sun set over one of the largest cities in the world, the Magnums of Taittinger champagne started to flow.
