In 2021, Hublot presented the Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Sapphire and this year at Watches & Wonders 2023, they have released the Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Carbon with a new integrated bracelet and case made from carbon fiber and texalium upper layer in a grey monochromatic look.
The Big Bang Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Carbon is rooted in Hublot’s expertise in developing new materials and texalium is one that they’ve been working with for a while now. With a case and bracelet made entirely from texalium and carbon fiber the watch is light as a feather at 67.9 grams of total weight. The bracelet was also a complex challenge as it alone comprises 165 components and every link is individually made and secured to perfection. The bracelet is secured by a titanium and black-plated titanium deployant clasp.
Things to Know About the Watch
The 43 mm case in carbon fiber and texalium possess unrivaled mechanical qualities. It is ultra-lightweight, resists torsion and stands out with its optimal relationship between weight and resistance. This high-tech material is in the form of a fiber mesh embedded in an epoxy resin. Hublot also uses a 3D carbon where the fibers are woven on three planes. Other models use a “frosted” carbon with colored inclusions. The watch is very interesting looking and a true chameleon depending on lighting conditions.
The openworked dial features a sapphire disc with applied hour markers, a sapphire bridge for the tourbillon that takes the center stage at 6 o’clock and a micro-rotor at 12 o’clock to help wind this automatic tourbillon.
The Movement
In terms of the movement, the Hublot calibre HUB6035 automatic manufacture was entirely designed and manufactured in-house and it is the beating heart of this timepiece. This 243-part movement demonstrates a perfect balance between the micro-rotor at 12 o'clock and the tourbillon at 6 o'clock, and also with its three transparent sapphire bridges, exclusive to the Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon. The components appear to be literally suspended in space and this movement provides a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound. Additionally, the mainplate has been redesigned with an interesting pattern that makes it appear as a labyrinth, a big change from the movement on the Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Sapphire presented a few years ago.

On the wrist, the Hublot Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Carbon wears slightly smaller than its 43 mm size thanks to its monochromatic light grey case and bracelet. This new watch wears very light thanks to the carbon fiber and texalium construction and for the price, considering the use of innovative materials and the exquisite tourbillon movement, this watch is right on the money.
