Yesterday, February 23, 2023, Jean Arnault announced that Daniel Roth is being revived by La Fabrique Du Temps Louis Vuitton and that Michael Navas and Enrico Barbasini —master watchmakers— would oversee the creation and execution of each Daniel Roth watch personally. Navas and Barbasini founded La Fabrique Du Temps Louis Vuitton and under their oversight, one of the most legendary names in modern watchmaking is being resurrected with the launch of souscription watches as far as I know per the limited information that was released with much of a teaser type of campaign.

The latest edition of the Purity Tourbillon series has undergone a total redesign of its spectacular exclusive manufactured double-barrel flying tourbillon. Following the complete reworking of the entire movement, the high complication piece has been reduced from an imposing 46 mm to a light and airy 39 mm. For the development of this magnificent mechanism, Franck Orny and his team joined Yvan Arpa and his team in a constructive partnership of skills, a sharing of values, and a beautiful creative vibratory dynamic.

The production of marine chronometers is part of Wempe’s watchmaking tradition. Since 1905, the company has equipped seagoing vessels with these special timepieces, whose great precision is unaffected by rough seas and ever-changing temperatures. Wempe’s “unified chronometer,” housed in a classic case, has been manufactured for the last 80 years.
