W&W 2025: Piaget Andy Warhol Watch with Tiger Eye Dial (Live Photos)

The new Piaget Andy Warhol watch debuts a new design interpretation released at Watches & Wonders 2025, featuring a stunning 18K white gold case—measuring 45 x 43 mm—, a powerful tiger eye stone dial, and delivered on a dark brown alligator leather strap with pin buckle in 18K white gold. The Piaget Andy Warhol Watch with Tiger Eye Dial ref. G0A50240 is for sure one of the nicest dial combinations on this watch along with the malachite we also love.

The Piaget Andy Warhol watch represents a fascinating intersection of fine watchmaking and pop art, creating one of the most distinctive timepieces in horological history. Andy Warhol (1928-1987), an artist and cultural icon, owned no less than seven Piaget watches. But the watch that he is most associated with is the era-defining Beta21 movement, previously named the Black Tie watch. Now, thanks to an official new collaboration under license with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the timepiece is formally renamed as: the Andy Warhol watch.

As the preeminent American artist of the 20th century, Andy Warhol challenged the world to see art differently. Since its founding in 1987, following Warhol's will, The Andy Warhol Foundation has established itself among the leading funders of contemporary art in the United States. The Foundation has distributed nearly $300 million in cash grants that support the creation, presentation, and documentation of contemporary visual arts, particularly work that is experimental, under-recognized, or challenging.

In 1973, Andy Warhol acquired his Piaget Black Tie watch, adding to the six other Piaget timepieces that he owned—four of which are today part of Piaget's Private Collection. Having met Yves Piaget in 1979 in New York, Andy Warhol became a regular member of the Piaget Society. Traveling to glamorous events hosted in New York and Palm Beach, the pair were also frequently spotted among the beau monde at the likes of Studio 54 and Chez Régine.

The new Piaget Andy Warhol watch with tiger eye dial ref. G0A50240 is powered by the automatic Manufacture calibre 501P1. This automatic movement with 23 jewels beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph and provides a power reserve of 40 hours when fully wound. The movement is finished with circular Côtes de Genève, a circular-grained plate, beveled bridges, blued screws, and a slate Grey colored oscillating weight in Tungsten. The movement is protected by a solid case back.

For collectors, these watches offer a tangible connection to one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, while also showcasing Piaget's willingness to push the boundaries of traditional watch design. On the wrist, this is a game-ending piece and a stunning highly collectible watch showcasing what Piaget is best known for.
