We all talk about the ‘Holy Trinity of Watchmaking’ composed by Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, and Audemars Piguet, and for years I have debated if it should be called the ‘Holy Quartet of Watchmaking’ instead. Since it seems unfair to drop Audemars Piguet out of the trinity and include Jaeger-LeCoultre in its place, I think that making it a quartet seems more fair and reasonable.

On the front, the watch reinterprets the aesthetic codes of the Art Deco-inspired collection launched in 1931 with elegance and refinement, while on the reverse side, a new dial with a sunray finish features a bewitching dark gray color and a night and day disc, perfectly integrated into the new design.

Last Tuesday, November 1, 2022, we were in New York City for the opening of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso 1931 Café. This experiential concept has just opened for a limited time in different locations around the world from New York to Paris, to Tokyo. The space located on Madison Avenue and the corner of 64th street brings its visitors into an exquisite Art Deco setting for a decadent journey through incredible coffees made to order and tailor-made pastries created by French chef Nina Métayer.
