Today July 2, 2024, Richemont announced that Louis Ferla, currently Chief Executive Officer of Vacheron Constantin will succeed Cyrille Vigneron as Chief Executive Officer of Cartier, effective September 1, 2024. Mr. Vigneron, who has decided to retire after eight successful years at the helm of the Maison, will assume the position of Chairman of Cartier Culture & Philanthropy effective the same date as Louis Ferla becomes CEO of the brand and work with Ferla to ensure a smooth transition.
Louis Ferla, a French national, joined Richemont in 2001 starting at Alfred Dunhill as Area Sales Manager in Hong Kong and then as General Manager in Taipei. In 2006, he was appointed General Manager Taiwan for Cartier International, before taking charge of the Middle East region and India as Regional Director and becoming CEO for China.
In 2015, he served as International Business & Client Development Director of Cartier International, before joining Vacheron Constantin. Louis Ferla is a graduate of the École supérieure de Commerce et Development 3A in Lyon, and of the National Taiwan University in Taipei.
Louis Ferla has been the CEO of Vacheron Constantin since April 1, 2017.
