Two days ago on September 8th, 2021, we had the pleasure to attend the grand opening of Vacheron Constantin’s new North American Flagship in NYC. Vacheron Constantin opened NYFW —NY Fashion Week— with a star-studded celebration that included Alexander Schmiedt, the new President of the Americas for Vacheron Constantin, an electric musical performance from supermodel Karen Elson, guests including Zac Weiss, Katie Holmes, Nico Tortorella, model Chanel Iman, and Michelle Hicks. And of course, Cory Richards —professional photographer, explorer, and Vacheron Constantin ambassador— was there to get a nice wrist shot with our Overseas Dual Time and his Overseas Chronograph.
The New Vacheron Constantin Flagship for North America in NYC
This special night began at Vacheron Constantin’s new two-story boutique located at 28 East 57th Street right off the corner with Madison Avenue and across from the Fuller Building. The boutique includes more than 4,500 sq ft with an outstanding 2-story glass façade glowed from the inside with white lights twinkling from a 12-foot tall brass cityscape art installation in the atrium created in collaboration with the American artist Chris Burden Estate, especially for the Grand Opening.

During the opening supermodel Karen Elson debuted her new song Lightning Strikes marking the very first time she’s performed a song from her new album launching this week. When watches, beautiful people, decadent cocktails, and great food intertwine, rest assure that WCL was there fully prepared to capture every bit of the action for you. Cheers to the #watchlife.

The Dinner
Afterward, we headed for a decadent dinner at a secret penthouse speakeasy at the penthouse at Steinway Hall. This incredible residence features a rooftop like no other in NYC. Following the ‘Classic with a Twist 1920s theme’, Vacheron Constantin transported us in style in vintage 1920s automobiles as well as in the new Rolls-Royce Ghost.
At the rooftop located on the 21st floor, we were treated to 1920s flapper dancers and an offering of 1921 and 2021 cocktails under the stars, followed by an elegant multi-course dinner with artistic plates featuring Maltese crosses. Then we were surprised by a powerful Cabaret 1920’s themed performance from Tony Award winner Alan Cumming, including a mash-up of Broadway songs which concluded with a standing ovation.
