Girard-Perregaux is pleased to unveil the Laureato Absolute Light Bucherer Blue, a limited-edition watch created exclusively for the prestigious retailer. Housed in a sapphire crystal case and featuring titanium lugs, this model provides a three-dimensional view of numerous movement components. Furthermore, it is the transparent characteristic of the sapphire case which invites light to bathe the various internal parts, thereby accentuating the many shapes employed. Throughout its 230-year history, Girard-Perregaux has produced watches that masterfully play with shapes and light. The new Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Light Bucherer Blue is housed in a 44 mm sapphire crystal case with all the design codes of the Laureato including its octagonal bezel. It took over 300 hours to create this case from start to finish and the case includes titanium lugs for extra strenght.
The beating heart inside the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Light Bucherer Blue is the automatic calibre GP01800-1652. This movement features an octagonal main plate —instead of a conventional round one— comprised of three layers that are screwed together to the case, the bezel, and the case back through the eight corners of the octagonal main plate. The movement is dressed in blue PVD with NAC-treated bridges and every component is fully visible via the sapphire crystal case. The movement also includes a hollowed-out mainspring barrel drum and a skeletonized gold oscillating weight. The hour and minute hands are also skeletonized with blue luminescent material at the tips.
The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Absolute Light Bucherer Blue is delivered on a grey rubber alloy strap made of FKM rubber injected with titanium and finished with a fabric-effect texture. The strap is secured with a titanium folding clasp with a micro-adjustment system for optimal wrist comfort.

The new Laureato Absolute Light Bucherer Blue comes in a limited and numbered edition of 18 pieces and is available exclusively in selected Bucherer boutiques.
