The Greubel Forsey Hand Made 2 seamlessly blends 18th-century elegance with Greubel Forsey’s signature modern innovation. The barrel and balance bridges come together in perfect harmony, each adorned with five artisanal finishes: frosted, black-polished, straight-grained, polished flanks and bevels, and polished chamfers, highlighted by olive-domed jewels set in gold chatons.
What Hand Made Means to Greubel Forsey:
Manual Crafting of Components: Every part, except for five—sapphire crystals, case gaskets, spring bars, mainspring, and most jewels—is crafted by hand using traditional tools, including precision lathes, jig borers, and pantographs. A defining achievement of the Hand Made 2 timepiece is the creation of a handmade conical jewel for the power reserve indicator, taking handcraftsmanship to new heights.
Micron-Precision: Every component is machined manually with tolerances within just a few microns, achieving a level of precision on par with modern CNC machines.
