Continuing with its 12th anniversary this year, the brand just released the T1 Series Millésime Edition during Geneva Watch Days last week. In French, millésime refers to a year in which a particular wine was produced. Here we have an exceptional vintage that will be available only from autumn until mid-spring from September 2024 to April 2025 without a limit in terms of quantity but in reduced production and availability.

Under the official timekeeping of Hublot, the 27th edition of Europe's highest altitude polo tournament was held from August 23rd through the 25th at one of the Bernese Alps’ most prestigious resorts in Gstaad. Players and horses went head-to-head against a dramatic backdrop of Swiss mountains. Amid the majestic, snow-capped Alpine peaks lies a verdant valley, nestled at an altitude of 1,000 meters, through which a lively river runs.

To celebrate its decade in style, Urwerk’s EMC —for Electronic Mechanical Control watch— has been reinvented clad in the fuselage of the legendary SR-71 reconnaissance aircraft. Earlier this year, Rolex presented two new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona in 18K white gold whose dials contrast white and black natural mother-of-pearl and a bezel set with brilliant-cut diamonds. One of the new models is equipped with an Oysterflex strap under reference 126589RBR, while the other one —which we have here— is equipped with a matching Oyster bracelet in 18K white gold under reference 126579RBR.

The dial or ‘lack thereof’ is beautifully skeletonized with a vertical satin-brushed finish along what’s left of the main plate. Rare Bird: Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica à Grand Sonnerie
Jaeger-LeCoutlre is better known as the ‘Watchmaker of Watchmakers’ and we’ve seen some impressive timepieces from them in the past including the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon Westminster Perpétuel we perused in 2019. The JLC Hybris Mechanica à Grand Sonnerie was first presented in 2009 in a limited edition of 30 pieces. Combining a striking mechanism with a Westminster chime, a flying tourbillon, and a retrograde perpetual calendar, this watch is a feat of horology of the highest order. Honored to be able to bring you these images and our thoughts on it.

Chopard reaffirms its commitment to the values of Haute Horlogerie promoted by the Fleurier Quality Foundation with a new timepiece certified following the specifications of this independent institution, known as the most demanding in its field. This L.U.C Qualité Fleurier model is the first watch to be awarded this label since Chopard became the sole custodian of the Foundation in 2022. It is also the first in the L.U.C Qualité Fleurier family to be crafted in Lucent Steel –Chopard's alloy featuring exclusive properties and produced with a recycling rate of at least 80%.
