Audemars Piguet announces the arrival of its third boutique in the United States with the opening of an elegant new location at The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 1,270-square-foot boutique, situated on the first floor between Tom Ford and Louis Vuitton stores showcases an original concept design that captures the 140-year old brand’s core values: origins, artistry and extraordinary relationships.

Insider: F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain Boutique Edition. The Watch that Made Us Break a Promise.

They say that one of the principles of good journalism is to be objective and neutral about what or who you write about. Considering the circumstances between the brand F.P. Journe and our publication, we will do our best to keep this post as objective and neutral as possible. Sometimes, no matter how nice you are to people and how hard you work, you still run into arrogant executives in the watch industry that disrespect you or that think that because they work for a very special brand, you as a watch publication are obliged to take their attitude and still write about their watches.

Back in 2013 during the SIAR, we promised the F.P. Journe brand that we would never write about them as long as we owned this website. Today, we are breaking this promise just to pamper a very close and dear friend of ours that recently acquired the only F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain Boutique Edition ref. CS that has made it to the American continent. Not only our friend wanted for us to do a special review of this special timepiece that he now owns, but we also felt that this watch is well worth talking about.

Watch Shopping Guide: London. One of the Watch Shopping Capitals of the World.

DSC00134 (2).jpg

Without a doubt, London is one of the watch shopping capitals of the world. Our watch shopping journey started right next door to our hotel at the Andaz on Liverpool street. Carr Watches is located next to the exclusive boutique hotel Andaz on 53 Liverpool Street and is open from Monday thru Friday from 9am to 6pm. Carr Watches carries a nice assortment of new and pre-owned timepieces ranging from Audemars Piguet to Rolex, Panerai and everything in between. Interestingly enough, as we walked in, we ran into one of our Instagram followers and someone you probably follow on Instagram under the username Lucky Luciano. At Carr, we were welcomed by several interesting timepieces including a full set Audemars Piguet Royal Oak End of Days in mint condition, a Rolex GMT Master 16750 No Date Spider Dial with purple fading Pepsi bezel and a Panerai Radiomir 1936 California Dial PAM 249 amongst other fascinating watches.

After our brief stop by Carr, we took the tube towards Piccadilly Circus in order to check all the amazing boutiques and authorized dealers located on Old Bond Street and New Bond Street. Getting off the tube on Piccadilly Circus is the easiest way to make it to Old and New Bond Street where the real watch shopping experience takes place. Just a few blocks west of Piccadilly Circus, you'll stumble upon your first stop at the Burlington Arcade where Mappin & Webb and the Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique are located, right on the corner of Old Bond Street and Piccadilly. Mappin & Webb carries a nice selection of brands including Bell & Ross, Breitling, Omega, Rolex and even Patek Philippe amongst others.

As you start heading north on Old Bond Street towards New Bond Street, you will run into an wide array of watch boutiques including two Cartier boutiques, Vacheron Constantin, Omega and Rolex. Not far from the Rolex boutique and the second Cartier boutique, right on the opposite side of the street, located at 170 New Bond Street you will find MARCUS, perhaps the the most exclusive watch store in London and what we like to describe as a sanctuary for Audemars Piguet and haute horlogerie lovers as featured here last month. Next door to MARCUS, you will find the Piaget boutique.

Across the street from MARCUS, you will find the Breguet boutique that is currently being remodeled and temporarily located inside the exclusive Asprey store at the iconic corner of Grafton and New Bond Street. Right around that same block, you will stumble upon Chopard, De Grisogono, Georg Jensen and the Patek Philippe boutique. You can't miss the Patek Philippe boutique because it is flanked by the most beautiful brass sculpture of what we like to think as two watchlifestylers having a good watch talk right outside the boutique sitting on a park bench. The Patek Philippe boutique in London, is one of the only three exclusive boutiques —the other two salons are in Geneva and Paris— operated by Patek and is located right in between Georg Jensen and the prestigious Watches of Switzerland store. Watches of Switzerland is a very large authorized dealer that carries Baume & Mercier, Blancpain, Glycine, Jaeger-LeCoultre, NOMOS Glashütte, Omega, Rolex, SLYDE, Zenith, Rado, Oris, Panerai and Patek Philippe amongst other brands.

Still walking northbound on New Bond Street and not far from Watches of Switzerland, you will find the Hublot and Breitling boutiques, as well as two of our favorite authorized dealers in the world, Wempe and Kronometry 1999. At Kronometry 1999 —located on New Bond Street between Brook and Oxford— you will find a very large selection of haute horlogerie brands including Audemars Piguet, Hautlence, Richard Mille, Romain Jerome, Bovet, Ulysse Nardin, De Bethune, Vacheron Constantin, HYT and Zenith amongst others. Right next door to Kronometry 1999 you will come across Frost of London, the authorized dealer for Franc Vila, Arnold & Son, Maîtres du Temps, Giuliano Mazzuoli, SLYDE, Badollet, Devon, Cvstos and Corum amongst others.

Your last stop on New Bond Street and a must see, should be at the Watch Centre —located at 74 New Bond Street next to Leonidas chocolates. This fascinating store is a pre-owned and vintage watch paradise for those seeking Double Red Sea-Dwellers, Red Submariners, Steve McQueen Explorers, Paul Newman Daytonas, rare dial GMT Masters and even discontinued Audemars Piguet or Panerai watches. During our visit at their small but intimate store, we saw one of the most beautiful Red Subs we have seen in a very long time —complete with box and papers and with the thickest case one can find— along with a gorgeous 1655 Albino and even a rare GMT Master 1675 with United Arab Emirates royal crest insignia dial.

Lastly, if you still have time and energy for more watch shopping —which you probably will— head over to the south Kensington/Knightsbridge area to check the amazing watch department at Harrods of London. At Harrods of London you will not only have one of the best shopping experiences of your life, but you will also be amazed by the inventory and number of watch brands they carry. Some of the brands in their watch department include A. Lange & Söhne, Audemars Piguet, IWC, Panerai, De Witt, Frederique Constant, Richard Mille, Romain Jerome, MB&F, Breitling, Vacheron Constantin, Rolex and Girard-Perregaux just to name a few. While you are at Harrods, make sure you stop by the art gallery inside the store and get a mandatory wrist shot —like the ones at the bottom of this post— next to one of Salvador Dali's sculptures, especially next to the ones of melting pocket watches like those in his famous painting 'The Persistence of Memory'.

Located in the heart of Aspen’s renowned high-end shopping district, Panerai’s new 1,255 square foot boutique is located in a two-storied landmark building with sweeping views of Aspen Mountain and features an expansive sales area, library and VIP lounge for customers to experience the Panerai brand.

To celebrate the official opening, Panerai will participate as a Presenting Sponsor of the Light It Up Blue Aspen Gala in support of Autism Speaks and Extreme Sports Camp on Sunday, February 16th which will be held at The Hotel Jerome in the ski resort town. For the gala’s live auction, Panerai will donate an Aspen Special Edition Luminor Marina 44mm PAM 00467, #1 of the limited edition series, in brushed steel. To further support Autism Speaks and its local Aspen-affiliate Extreme Sports Camp, Panerai will donate a percentage of proceeds for sales made throughout the week to the two non-profit organizations. Mr. Alvarez commented, “We’re delighted to participate in Light It Up Blue Aspen, in support of Autism Awareness and we’re grateful to the Aspen community for giving Panerai such a warm welcome this winter season. We look forward to lots more community involvement in the years ahead.”

Jill Pidcock, Director of Development for Extreme Sports Camp which is collaborating with Autism Speaks on the Light It Up Blue Aspen events, added “Light It Up Blue Aspen is honored to have Officine Panerai as a Presenting Sponsor for our 3rd annual Gala. Experience: MARCUS Watches in London. A Watch Shopping Paradise for Audemars Piguet and Haute Horlogerie Lovers.

As we prepare to report directly from Geneva during our week at the SIHH 2014, we decided to spend a few days in London. As many of you know, London is considered a must when it comes to watch shopping. When it comes to Audemars Piguet and highly complicated watches, there is no better place to stop by other than MARCUS watches located on 170 New Bond Street. MARCUS is advertised as containing “The most important collection of watches in the World” and we can say that they deliver on that promises. The range of brands they carry is truly formidable, ranging from long-established, high end brands such as Audemars Piguet, Piaget, Girard-Perregaux and Zenith to more recent haute horlogerie brands like Richard Mille, Urwerk, MCT, Hautlence and Greubel Forsey amongst others.

The store was established in its current form by Marcus Margulies whose family company, Time Products, dates back to the early 1960’s when his Father Alexander moved to England from Poland and established a business distributing inexpensive watches imported from the Soviet Union. This company was named Sekonda and is now the UK’s best-selling watch brand. Time Products has worked closely with the Swiss Luxury Watch Industry and is currently the UK distributor for Hublot and Franck Muller. Other brands that have been distributed by Time Products in the UK include Blancpain, Breguet, Girard-Perregaux, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet which was distributed in the UK, Switzerland and the U.S. for over 15 years.

The store has one of the rarest collections of vintage and antique timepieces in the world. The collection was started in 1989. During the past twenty years it has bought some extremely rare, sometimes unique, pocket and wristwatches, the majority having been produced by the watch companies Time Products represents. The purpose of the collection has always been to support retail customers by promoting the brands when they hold exhibitions. Below you will see a picture of Marcus, the man behind this watch shopping paradise.

DSC00181.jpg

As you head into this fascinating boutique you'll experience a very interesting combination of modern and antique decor. The boutique is nestled inside an old building that according to UK laws, its interior can only be modified to certain extent and features like its crown molding or its staircase had to be kept intact. Therefore, you will find a nice combination of the old meeting the new, the same fascinating combo that we find in the rare and exclusive timepieces than can be found here. MARCUS sells some of the most interesting unique piece limited editions including sets and watches like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore MARCUS limited edition, the Richard Mille RM028 Divers Set of 3 unique pieces, the Greubel Forsey set of 3 pieces as well as some amazing Urwerks, MCTs, Hublots and Franck Mullers amongst others.

The boutique spreads over four levels of elegant decor, free standing showcases and perfectly designed salons with excellent natural light. The boutique is quite large but very intimate and inviting despite the fact that as soon as you walk in the first timepieces that greet you include a very rare 18K rose gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Grande Complication with skeletonized dial of which only 3 pieces were ever made and priced well above $700,000 USD. As you head upstairs you know you are in for a big treat as the Audemars Piguet room awaits you. A salon that includes some of the most fascinating Audemars Piguet timepieces we've ever seen and the largest inventory on display. Now, let's move on to the images and let these do the talking. Below you will see several very hard to find pieces including one of the MARCUS limited editions as well as a exclusive Royal Oak with diamond baguettes and emeralds.

Now meet one of the three limited edition Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshores exclusively created for MARCUS. This one is the Royal Oak Offshore Black DLC Steel Marcus Limited Edition of 50 pieces in blackened DLC steel case with black "Mega Tapisserie" dial, white Arabic numerals, crown and pushers in white, case back engraved with the Marcus M logo and a white rubber strap. You need to see one in person to really fully appreciate it. Just amazing.

As you continue to move upstairs, you are greeted by a beautiful display full of antique watchmaking tools and some fascinating timepieces that left us in awe. Elegance and refinement are the name of the game at this boutique where even a beautiful Asprey leather backgammon set is awaiting there for one to play a quick round with Marcus while watch shopping. On this level you will find a 3-piece set of Greubel Forsey Tourbillons all numbered with the number 7, a Richard Mille RM022 Tourbillon Diamonds Marcus unique piece, a unique Piaget watch with 'cloissoné' enamel case and dial and a unique piece of the fascinating ultra complicated Urwerk UR-1001 Zeit Device pocket watch in blackened platinum instead of the traditional AlTiN treated steel. This Urwerk weighs almost a kilo —2 pounds— of platinum and measures an era in its entirety, from a second to a millennium with a revolving satellite complication with wandering hours, retrograde minutes, revolving satellite calendar with months and dates, day/night indicator, power-reserve indicator, running seconds, “Oil change” indicator for every 5 years, running-time indicator for a century and linear running-time indicator for a millennium.

After you're done some serious shopping upstairs and just in case you have time for some wine and more APs, you might be escorted downstairs to the lower level where an amazing built-in watch display with winders, wine cellar and humidor awaits you. Just in case you didn't find anything you liked upstairs at the Audemars Piguet salon, down here you will find another huge selection of APs including the Royal Oak Offshore Sachin Tendulkar Limited Edition.

As you head back upstairs to the ground level, pay close attention to the antique table where the stairs end, here you will see the amazing Reuge by MB&F Music Machine in its full glory and behind no glass. After an unforgettable experience perusing some of the most exclusive and exceptional timepieces you can find in London and the world, we thank Alex at MARCUS for such a wonderful afternoon and great hospitality. Thanks for making us feel at home.

Breaking News: The Zenith Boutique in Geneva was Burglarized.

The Zenith boutique on the Rue du Rhône was broken into last night between 5 and 6 am. Initial observations indicate that the burglars smashed through the front door using a ram-raid vehicle, before making off with the contents of the Boutique’s inside displays. The information gathered on site by police does not as yet enable them to provide any further details on the event as such, nor on the estimated value of the goods stolen. An investigation is in progress and every effort is being made to render the Zenith Boutique operational again as soon as possible.  The Boutique will therefore as planned be hosting its guests on August 29th for the traditional Geneva grape harvest celebrations.

Experience: Tourbillon Boutique Chicago. Eight Magnificent Brands in One Luxurious Place on Michigan Avenue's Magnificent Mile.

As we found ourselves walking down Chicago’s magnificent mile on Michigan Avenue —just north of Wacker Drive and a few buildings away from the iconic Gothic Chicago Tribune tower— enjoying a rare sunny day, we stumbled upon one of the most magnificent watch boutiques in the city. The boutique is located on Michigan Avenue close to the corner with Ohio street. Trust us, you just can’t miss the Swiss flag flanked by the U.S. flags blowing in the wind.

Tourbillon is a group of watch boutiques launched by the Swatch Group —the largest watch brand holding in the world— a few years ago and is composed of 22 boutiques in some of the most upscale locations and fascinating cities in the world including New York, Moscow, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, Geneva, Lugano, St. Petersburg, San Francisco, Seattle, South Coast, Short Hills and St. Barth amongst others.

Chicago’s Tourbillon boutique is a relatively new boutique that opened its doors in December 2012 and in just a few months, has now become a must-visit landmark for watchlifestylers living in Chicago or just visiting. In this boutique, you will find an impressive inventory from Breguet, Blancpain, Glashütte Original, Jaquet Droz, Leon Hatot, Omega, Swatch and Tiffany & Co. Come experience this luxurious and elegant boutique —with one of the most fascinating timepiece

As you head into this fantastic boutique, you will first be greeted by two amazing areas for Breguet and Omega that are almost like mini-boutiques within the boutique. As you walk in, you can’t miss Omega’s Baselworld 2013 novelties that are eye-catching. The Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M GoodPlanet is there with its blue and orange ceramic bezel that would be a perfect fit to match that Chicago Bears jersey that you’ve been wearing since 1985. Now that you’ve finally seen it in person, you like it even more.

As you turn around to continue to walk through the boutique, you can’t miss Breguet’s corner —classy, inspiring and full of 'haute horlogerie' creations. These creations are a living tribute to one of the greatest watchmakers of all time, Abraham-Louis Breguet —the creator of the tourbillon around 1795. As you walk around admiring the displays, you notice the book that is standing in between them and you take a closer look. You are surrounded by masterpieces, some of the most fascinating complications like the Tourbillon, the 'La Musicale' masterpiece, the Classique Grande Complication and even some of the cufflinks in their collection. You then ask one of the friendly, savvy employees to pull out the Classique Grande Complication ref. 5447 in white gold for you to peruse. With it’s grandeur and hand carved 'guilloché' dial, you are just left in awe. The display case back allows for full view of one of the most fascinating and intricately decorated calibres you’ve ever seen in person. Pure perfection right in front of your eyes.

Your next stop is at the Blancpain area —right behind Breguet— where you help yourself to a delicious Lindt chocolate. Savor the chocolate as much as you are savoring this watch shopping experience. You have been in the boutique for fifteen minutes and yet you just don’t want to leave.

Every display and every timepiece you peruse transports you to the 'Vallée de Joux' where these timepieces are carefully handcrafted. As you check out Blancpain’s displays, you notice that almost every reference from the Fifty Fathoms collection is available including the coveted No Radiations Limited Edition watch.

While you are sitting in the ultra comfortable white leather chairs, you are informed that they have one of the rare and very limited Blancpain Chinese Calendar timepieces in stock. You need to see that masterpiece of horology and if it winks at you, you know you’ll have to get if before someone else does.

After drooling over the fascinating Blancpain Chinese Calendar, you hold your breath and decide to think about it as there are still more watches you want to see. As you keep walking towards the back, the Jaquet Droz and Leon Hatot —exclusively available at the Tourbillon boutiques— displays catch your eye. While you admire the beautiful white orchids that flank the Leon Hatot displays, you think about your significant other and what she might like for you to bring back home for her —a piece of jewelry or perhaps a Jaquet Droz Ivory Enamel watch.

As you reach the end of the store, the journey is almost over, but Glasshütte Original, Swatch and Tiffany & Co. are there to get your attention before you make your final buying decisions. As you look around Glashütte Original, you notice the new Senator Panorama Date presented at Baselworld 2013. You’ve been wanting to see this watch in person since the end of April and now looks like it might be time to get it. At the same time, you check the lovely PanoDate PanoReserve.

Finally you’ve made up your mind and today you will be walking out with more than one watch. The friendly staff walks you upstairs to the private lounge area where you sit down and relax in the comfortable and beautiful brown Le Corbusier chairs as you sip down an espresso and savor another Lindt chocolate.

As you are getting ready to leave with your purchases, you take one more look at the fascinating space of the boutique and you give the Blancpain area one last look. Should you also buy that Fifty Fathoms No Radiations Limited Edition before it’s gone? As you leave the boutique fully satisfied with your new purchases, you look back at the tourbillon logo on the door handles and wonder when the new Glashütte Original Pavonina will be in so you can buy it for your significant other.

Experience: Audemars Piguet Boutique New York City. Elegance and Distinction in Every Corner.

As we walked down 57th street during a hot and humid summer day, we decided to stop by the Audemars Piguet flagship boutique. This boutique is located at 65 E 57th Street, almost at the corner with Park Avenue. Read on to experience it with us.

As soon as you are ready to head inside, you'll notice the beautiful AP logos on the door handles —on both sides of the door— and the AP carved logo on the gray stone covering the façade.

As you make your way in and cool down, you'll get ready to embark on a beautiful discovery of limited edition timepieces and almost every reference in the Audemars Piguet collection. As you walk into the vestibule, the brand is already welcoming you and embracing your passion with two small screens looping videos of the manufacture.

Once you are finally all the way inside the boutique, you'll notice the elegant details in every corner of the space. The wooden floors, the two beautiful chandeliers, the finely crafted furniture, the live orchids and the watch displays where precious timepieces are perfectly illuminated. Everything inside this boutique exudes elegance and distinction. The Audemars Piguet boutique is a perfect example of what NYC's 'grandeur' is all about.

As you walk around the boutique in awe, you finally see a few limited edition references for the first time. The Tour Auto and the Legacy wink at you. You keep walking and stumble upon a beautiful Royal Oak Offshore in rose gold ref. 26170OR.OO.1000OR.01 next to a beautiful white rose —as white as the dial on that Offshore.

As you head towards the back, there's a small room on the left that catches your eye. A comfy off-white divan with red accents and a couple of burgundy velvet ottomans welcome you into that secluded and elegant area of the boutique.

You continue to walk towards the back while making up your mind on what you'll be buying this time. At the end of the boutique, there's a watchmaker on duty, ready to make any bracelet adjustments you might need. Right by it, you can relax in a nice and comfortable sitting area.

As you turn around and look at the art on the walls, you'll notice two images from the manufacture including a picture of a pocket watch.

After admiring the different collections throughout the boutique, you head back towards the front of the boutique to take a closer look at the Royal Oak Quantième Perpétuel Skeleton in Platinum ref. 25829PT.OO.0944PT.01 that caught your eye as you walked in. You peruse the watch for a few minutes and the friendly staff explains everything you need to know about it. You pull the trigger on the purchase and get ready to leave.

As you exit the boutique through its double doors and feel the heat of the NYC summer, you look back and wonder when you will stop by next. Perhaps in a few weeks or maybe even next week.

Experience: Audemars Piguet Boutique Bal Harbour. A Very Modern and Sleek Place.

Located in the heart of Bal Harbour just north of Miami Beach, off of Collins Ave. and 96th, a brand new Audemars Piguet boutique was just opened a couple of weeks ago inside the Bal Harbour Shops.

The boutique includes a 990 sq. ft. space—located on the first floor next to David Yurman— with a very minimalistic design that clearly portrays Audemars Piguet's core values and brand essence.  As soon as you walk in, you will be taken on a journey all the way to the home of the manufacture in Le Brassus.

Even though the boutique is very modern, it is still extremely inviting. Before you head into the boutique, you already know that you are in for a treat. As you walk in and are greeted by their friendly staff, core elements of the earth are present in the materials utilized in every single corner of this magnificent space.

Once inside, you will notice sleek slate floors, modern wooden walls, polygonal stone blocks —serving as the base for the wooden counter tops—, high-tech screens, rocks covered with moss, brass sculptures, nicknacks and a large chandelier that illuminates the space.

On the left side as you walk in, next to a beautiful white lacquered indented shelving unit, you will find a super-sized nine panel video wall looping images of nature and landscapes from the Vallée de Joux. On the opposite side, a smaller LED screen is looping horological footage from the manufacture and watches in the collection. At the lounge bar area, feel free to help yourself to some of the most delicious 'macarons' that taste just as authentic as if you were in Paris at Pierre Hermé on Rue Cambon —just a block away from the Audemars Piguet boutique on Rue Saint Honoré.

As you walk around, you'll notice that employees are well trained to make adjustments to bracelets. By the loupe and tool set he was using, we can tell that you won't leave with a scratched bracelet.

As you look around for that next piece that you want to buy, you'll notice the attention that has been put forth to every single detail at the boutique. From the flowers to the bronze sculptures —that appear to be made by Swiss sculptor Giacometti. The displays are unique and well lit showcasing the watches in pure harmony. Fantastic pieces, complications and key references across the different Audemars Piguet lines are on display. Now pick what you want to try on.

Once you pick your favorite watch to peruse, have a seat on the comfortable, perfectly designed chairs and take a deep breath. Take all of the imagery and the boutique design inside you, all the way to your core. You are here for a reason and you know it.

Now, admire the design and craftsmanship of that gorgeous Royal Oak Extra-Thin Tourbillon ref. 26510ST.OO.1220ST.01 you've been wanting for a long time or perhaps the Royal Oak Tourbillon Chronograph in gold. Choices, choices and more choices. The endless storyline in the life of a watch collector.

As you make another round throughout the boutique, the antique pocket watch from the Audemars Piguet Museum catches your attention. Then, you admire the antique Ingold Fraise horological tool —used to cut movement wheels and their teeth— that is sitting on the upper shelf right above the pocket watch. As you look at the LED screen to the right of those two objects, you just can't stop watching the video that is playing and showing you how these masterpieces are made. You are more than ready to get one.

While you are there and as you make up your mind, enjoy looking at pieces like the Millenary Minute Repeater with AP Escapement ref. 26371TI.OO.D002CR.01 —a limited edition of 8 pieces in Titanium and anthracite dial— and the Jules Audemars Chronometer with AP Escapement in Platinum ref. 26153PT.OO.D028CR.01.

After purchasing that new timepiece, you leave through the door feeling fulfilled after your experience at the beautiful boutique. You are happy, excited and looking forward to sharing your unveiling thread on an online watch forum. Mission accomplished.

As you walk back into the shopping center atrium, you stop by the koi fish and turtle pond outside the boutique. As you look at the koi fish, the orange color on them makes you think about the new Royal Oak Offshore Ceramic Diver and its orange accents. As you are getting ready to leave, you turn back and take a last look at the boutique wondering when you will be back to peruse the new Ceramic Diver and add it to the collection.

Special thanks to Audemars Piguet for allowing us to come visit the boutique and take all of these pictures for our story.

Experience: IWC Boutique. Bahnhofstrasse 61, Zurich.

Located right on Bahnhofstrasse 61 not far from Credit Suisse, the IWC Boutique is a must see if you live in Zurich or if you are just visiting. This boutique just opened back in September of 2012 and follows the same interior design concept of all other boutiques. Just a few blocks away from the main train station, this boutique blends in nicely with Zürich's architecture and look of most store fronts. Regardless, you just can't miss it. When closed for business, all windows are protected by metallic curtains in white with a black IWC logo at the bottom. The window displays are eye catching and very well done.

Once inside, you will find a nice assortment of pieces from every line in their collection. From Pilot's watches, to the Portuguese line, the Ingenieur novelties and everything else in between.

This time, one of the Ingenieur novelties caught our wandering eyes. While we explored every display inside the store, we just couldn't resist trying on the new Ingenieur Chronograph Racer ref. IW378508 fitted with a stainless steel bracelet.

This new watch with an enticing slate-coloured dial, black registers —chrono register at 12 and running seconds/date aperture at 6 o'clock— and a red '60' on the chapter ring at 12 o'clock, is just gorgeous. The red accent was inspired by the digital display on the steering wheel of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One racing car. We will be dedicating a full post to review the watch in full.

Next time you are riding the tram on your way to the train station, make a pit stop at the boutique. Now, make sure you don't miss your train, because once you walk inside, you won't be able to leave promptly.

Captivating displays, beautiful watches, comfy sofas and great service are awaiting.
