For the first time, the Rolex GMT-Master II ref. 126710 in stainless steel is cloaked with a new cerachrom bezel insert in grey and black just like that insert introduced in 2023 for the 18K yellow gold GMT-Master II model ref. 126718GRNR. This time the new GMT-Master II also features a 40 mm case where either the Oyster or Jubilee bracelets are interchangeable unlike on previous models where if the watch was fitted with a jubilee bracelet, the case wouldn’t take an oyster bracelet.
When it comes to the world of watches, the black and grey bezel combination often earns the moniker of "Shadow Bezel." Therefore, a fitting nickname for this new GMT-Master II ref. 126710GRNR would be the ‘Shadow GMT’.
The dark hues exude a mysterious and sleek aesthetic, reminiscent of shadows cast under the moonlight. This nickname perfectly captures the enigmatic allure of timepieces featuring this distinctive bezel colorway, adding a touch of intrigue to the overall design. Whether subtly understated or boldly contrasting, the Shadow Bezel is a favorite among watch enthusiasts seeking a versatile and sophisticated look for their wrist.
The new Rolex GMT-Master II ref. 126710GRNR is powered by the automatic movement calibre 3285 with paramagnetic blue parachrom hairspring, Paraflex shock absorbers, and a bi-directional rotor which provides a power reserve of 70 hours. This COSC movement has a deviation of -2/+2 sec/day.
On the Wrist & Price
On the wrist, the Rolex GMT-Master II ref. 126710GRNR wears true to its size. While we are suckers for Oyster bracelets, we think that the jubilee bracelet looks much better on this new model with its grey and black bezel insert.
Sticker Price USD 10,900 on a Jubilee bracelet, and USD 10,700 on an Oyster bracelet. For more info on Rolex click here.
