W&W 2025: Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater (Live Photos)

Along with the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Nonantieme Enamel and the new Reverso Tribute Geographic, the new Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater takes center stage among this year’s novelties for La Grande Maison. The new Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater celebrates a legacy of horological excellence with the most challenging of all complications in a 30-piece limited edition.

Jaeger-LeCoultre created their first Minute Repeater in 1870 and since then, the brand has released nearly 200 Minute Repeater calibres pioneering that achievement. Then, in 1994, the brand reached a milestone by presenting the first rectangular minute repeater housed in a Reverso case.

Powered by the calibre 953 entirely conceived, designed, and produced in-house, the movement incorporates seven existing patents that enhance chime quality, it achieves an impressive 48-hour power reserve despite the energy demands of the minute repeater mechanism and presents an open-worked reverse design that showcases the breathtaking complexity of the movement. This exceptional timepiece with its 48-hour power reserve represents a remarkable achievement for an energy-demanding complication like a minute repeater.

The front dial features a radiant hand-guilloché barley-seed pattern enhanced by multiple layers of grand feu enamel in a distinctive teal blue. Both the guillochage and enameling are crafted in the Atelier des Métiers Rares in Le Sentier.

The open-worked reverse dial reveals the intricate repeater mechanism, with faceted indexes that appear to float above the movement, creating depth and transparency. The bridges feature hand-beveled edges and decorative finishes combining brushed and grained surfaces. The bridge spanning from 7 to 5 o'clock, which supports the hammers, is adorned with blue lacquer to complement the front dial.

The Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater forms part of the Nonantieme Collector's box, designed to house six limited-edition Reverso timepieces, each representing the pinnacle of horological innovation and artistry. Inspired by the collector's box created for the Reverso's 60th anniversary in 1991, this exclusive collection offers discerning enthusiasts a rare opportunity to own a significant piece of horological history.

An incredible watch that only 30 lucky souls will be able to own. The new Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater stands out as a remarkable fusion of artistry and horological sophistication. This timepiece encapsulates the brand's commitment to craftsmanship, showcasing a beautifully crafted case that flips to reveal a dial adorned with intricate detailing and exquisitely finished open-worked manual wound movement.

The minute repeater complication, which chimes the time with unparalleled clarity, demonstrates not only technical prowess but also exquisite attention to auditory aesthetics. With its elegant lines and refined movement, the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater is not just a watch; it is a testament to Jaeger-LeCoultre's enduring legacy in the world of luxury timepieces.
