While here at WCL we’ve never been the biggest fans of socks with patterns or designs, we do have to give our friends at Leopine a round of applause for releasing yet another splendid watch-centric collection of socks. As we’ve talked about it before, Leopine is a relatively new brand that started selling swimwear and pocket squares a couple of years ago. With one of his founders totally immersed in the watch industry, they decided to launch a line that would cater to watch collectors and watch aficionados by adding subtle horological touches to their swimsuits, socks and pocket squares. Designed in Barcelona and made in Portugal, Leopine offers products for those in the ‘No Waiting List Club’. With sales now in more than 30 countries, there is no savvy watch collector out there that is not sporting their swimwear, socks or pocket squares around some of the fanciest settings around the world.
The Gentalovers sock line honors one more time the greatest and most prominent watch designer in modern times, Gérald Charles Genta, the man behind iconic watches like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the IWC Ingenieur SL, just to name a few. These ultra-soft socks come in two different designs. The first one is a pair in graphite gray with colorful watches and accents in pink, white, mint green and dark gray. The second one is a black pair with gold accents.
The design on these Leopine Gentalovers socks are subtle enough that even those not crazy about socks of this type, can wear them without hesitation. When paired with a pair of gray Magnanni Chelsea style boots, the socks come to life at that very precise moment when you cross your legs and the design slightly shows off. Yet another great item for watch collectors in the know. The socks are sold in sets of three or six pairs.
Unique looking, nicely designed and a must have if you are enjoying the good life with a nice watch on your wrist. Kudos to our friends at Leopine for becoming such a hot item in such a short period of time.
Sticker Price €80 Euros for six pairs—watch not included. For more info on Leopine click here.
