This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore and AP has decided to celebrate with a few new releases in the collection. One of them and our favorite so far is the all-black all ceramic Royal Oak Offshore reference 26238CE.OO.1300CE.01. A watch that is very reminiscent of the ‘End of Days’ with its all-black cloak. This new Offshore sports a 42 mm black ceramic case with a thickness of 15.3 mm and is equipped with a titanium sapphire display case back.
The all-black all ceramic Royal Oak Offshore reference 26238CE.OO.1300CE.01 features a black dial with a “Petite Tapisserie” pattern, black counters and white transfers, white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating, and black flange with tachymetric scale. The watch includes black ceramic pushers, a black ceramic screw-down crown, and a black full ceramic Offshore bracelet.
Just like the rest of the new generation of Royal Oak Offshores in 42 mm, the watch is powered by the new in-house AP Calibre 4404. This automatic flyback chronograph movement is composed of 433 parts and 40 jewels and it provides a power reserve of 70 hours while beating at a frequency of 28,800 vph.
