Last year at Watches & Wonders 2023, Zenith presented yet another revamped line of their Pilot watches with less of a steampunk look and a more contemporary modern look. The ‘newish’ Pilot Automatic and the Pilot Big Date Flyback were presented at the time in stainless steel and black ceramic.
Now, Zenith presents the Pilot Automatic and the Pilot Big Date Flyback Boutique Edition in stainless steel with a blue dial. In the new Zenith Pilot collection, the brand maintained an oversized crown as a nod to their previous Pilot’s watches but added a modern-looking dial with horizontal grooves and a big date display with two date wheels that advance simultaneously in less than 0.03 seconds.
The Zenith Pilot Automatic and the Pilot Big Date Flyback Boutique Edition feature a 40 mm and a 42.5mm stainless steel case respectively that is equipped with an oversized crown, paired with a blue corrugated dial featuring large luminescent Arabic numerals. Both new watches are delivered with interchangeable blue Cordura-effect rubber and brown calfskin leather straps.
While the Zenith Pilot Automatic is powered by the El Primero 3620 automatic high-frequency manufacture movement, the chronograph version is powered by the El Primero 3652 automatic high-frequency chronograph calibre with big date and flyback functions. Both movements provide a power reserve of 60 hours.
