Continuing with their footprint expansion in the U.S., Watches of Switzerland just opened another boutique, this time at the just opened Encore Boston Harbor Hotel. The Encore just opened this past Monday June 24th, 2019 as the first casino in the Boston Metropolitan area. Watches of Switzerland Group has more than 146 showrooms in the UK and the U.S. —including 15 dedicated mono-brand boutiques in partnership with Rolex, TAG Heuer, Omega and Breitling— and has leading presence at Heathrow Airport and 5 online transactional websites. Additionally, Watches of Switzerland Group is proud to be the UK’s largest retailer for Rolex, Patek Philippe, Cartier, Omega, TAG Heuer and Breitling. In the U.S., this is the third boutique that opened up in less than a year and their fifth watch retail operation in this country.
On November 29th, 2018 Watches of Switzerland opened their first showroom in New York City at 60 Greene Street, SoHo, followed by the Las Vegas store two days later. Additionally, they also manage the new Omega and Breitling standalone boutiques at the Wynn Plaza Shops in Las Vegas. Situated just a few steps from the check-in desk and the iconic flower merry-go-round —that the Wynn and Encore are known for— at the new Encore Boston Harbor, the new Watches of Switzerland boutique includes the following brands: Omega, Panerai, Hublot, IWC, Jacob & Co., Franck Muller, Ressence, Bovet and Laurent Ferrier amongst others. Finished in Spanish marble and its interior lined in a zebra grass wall covering with white oak trim and wall board, the space features dedicated areas for Hublot and Panerai, and shop-in-shop boutiques for Omega and IWC watches. Encore Boston Harbor is the second Wynn Resorts collaboration for Watches of Switzerland in less than a year.
This new three million sq.ft. Encore casino and resort is located just across the Mystic River from the city of Boston and is in close proximity to Logan International Airport. It is expected to attract national and international guests, as well as a local Boston clientele. The expansive property is opulently appointed in what looks like a replica of the Encore and the Wynn in Las Vegas. Dressed with red venetian glass chandeliers, the iconic floral merry-go-round and a curated selection of restaurants and world-class art throughout the property, the Encore Boston Harbor is sure to become the next big thing in Boston.
To celebrate the occasion, we gathered with the team at Watches of Switzerland and a select group of press attendees for a cocktail at the new boutique.
Following the cocktail at the new boutique, Watches of Switzerland hosted an unforgettable dinner at SInatra, the acclaimed Italian restaurant —dedicated to Frank Sinatra— that is a staple at the Encore and Wynn casinos in Las Vegas and now also at the Encore in Boston. A must whenever you are in Vegas and now when visiting Boston, Sinatra was the perfect setting for a decadent meal with unlimited amounts of wine and great friends.
