Walking into Zadok Jewelers in Houston is like walking into a candy store for watch lovers. If you are a seasoned watch collector, there is no other AD —Authorized Dealer— in Texas that offers as much variety when it comes to watches, jewelry, and home high-end goods —like Nina Magon, Lalique, and Baccarat to name a few— and such an upscale experience as Zadok does. Located in the upscale Post Oak area in Houston, Texas, Zadok Jewelers brings to the table a legacy that goes back seven generations and a family that served as jewelers to the Yemen Royal Court. In the 1880s, the first members of the Zadok family immigrated to Israel eventually opening a store in Jerusalem in the world-renowned King David Hotel.
In 1975, Dror and Helene Zadok, immigrated to Houston with only three suitcases and their first son Jonathan. The rest is history and for almost 50 years, Zadok has been the go-to top purveyor of jewelry and fine timepieces for the most demanding Houstonians and international clientele.
Their original store on Post Oak Blvd. was only 1,200 sq. ft. eventually expanding tenfold over the last 45 years. Dror and Helene Zadok’s sons Jonathan, Segev, and Gilad all grew up in the business, and today the three of them along with their father, their spouses, and a select group of talented professionals will make you feel right at home when you come to their store.
In 2021, they built a new two-level store located at 1801 Post Oak Blvd. —right across from one of our favorite sushi spots, Uchiko, and just steps away from Zadok’s original address— and oh boy, this store is one of the most impressive jewelry stores we’ve ever visited anywhere.
With an outstanding 28,000 sq. ft. floor plan, this store is not only by far the largest AD we’ve been to in Texas but it is also one of the nicest and most upscale ones we’ve visited in the whole U.S. As soon as you walk in, a very upscale but quite inviting atmosphere will welcome you and make you feel at home.
Zadok Jewelers are authorized dealers for A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Bell & Ross, Breguet, Breitling, Bulgari, Cartier, Chopard, Corum, Grand Seiko, Hublot, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Michele Watches, Montblanc, Omega, Panerai, Piaget, Raymond Weil, Roger Dubuis, Shinola, TAG Heuer, Tudor, Ulysse Nardin, and Vacheron Constantin.
With a concept that combines boutiques and shop-in-shops, Zadok Jewelers stands out from the rest of ADs in the great state of Texas. They say everything is bigger in Texas and this AD definitely confirms that with a massive store that is exquisitely set up and very elegantly decorated.
The boutiques located inside Zadok include A. Lange & Söhne, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, and Panerai —an actual Panerai bar that serves as the Panerai boutique. Even though the rest of the brands that they carry are shop-in-shops, these are some of the nicest shop-in-shops we’ve seen at any authorized dealer.
Walking into each of the watch boutiques inside Zadok is just like walking into any of the international stand-alone boutiques from A. Lange & Söhne, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, or Panerai. And even though this is their only location in Houston, when you do it right, one location is more than enough to properly cater to their local Houston clientele, as well as the U.S. and international visitors that flood Houston as one of the most important shopping destinations in the Americas.
Heading to the second floor is an experience in itself with an eye-catching suspended lighting display plated in pink, yellow and white, as well as the very inviting lounge by Nina Magon, a glamorous and very luxurious interior designer with offices in Houston and San Francisco, who has embedded her brand in some of the classiest interiors in Houston and beyond since 2008.
In addition to the vast selection of luxury timepieces that Zadok Jewelers carries, they also carry major jewelry brands including Chopard, Bulgari, Mikimoto, Pasquale Bruni, Piaget, Pomellato, and Roberto Coin just to name a few. Throughout the store and also on the second floor, one can find exquisite pieces of jewelry from Zadok’s own jewelry collection, as well as an extensive bridal jewelry salon and home goods by Nina Magon, Lalique, and Baccarat. Additionally, the second floor also hosts Zadok’s top-class watch repair service center.
Heading back to the main floor and nested between Cartier and Hublot, the Panerai Boutique at Zadok Jewelers is an actual fully stocked bar where all the Panerai timepieces are on display. In this bar, we were able to comfortably sit down and relax in the company of the Zadok brothers for a mid-afternoon Illy espresso and a couple of cocktails. Elegant, eye-catching, and unique are some of the words that come to mind when it comes to this Panerai boutique where we were also able to peruse the new Panerai Submersible GMT Navy SEALs PAM01323.
And if the store and the brands that they carry are not enough for you to head over and pay Zadok Jewelers a visit, then you have to at least come to meet the three Zadok brothers, Jonathan, Segev, and Gilad Zadok —pictured below from left to right— that with their charm, world-class service attitude, and expertise, will make you feel like part of the family.
These three fine gentlemen, all of them GIA Graduate Gemologists and the sons of Dror Zadok —President of Zadok Jewelers— will make sure that you have an unforgettable visit, like the one we had when we were there. Join them for a cocktail or perhaps a espresso accompanied by some amarettini cookies from the Panerai bar, and you’ll know why Zadok Jewelers has been in business for almost five decades.
Lastly, it is important to mention that their staff is ready to assist you in Spanish, French, Azerbaijani, Armenian, Swiss German, Bengali, Arabic, Hebrew, Greek, Vietnamese, Russian or Swahili, in case English is your second language.
Zadok Jewelers is open Monday thru Saturday between 10 am and 6 pm and is located at 1801 Post Oak Boulevard, Suite 100 in Houston, Texas. For more info on Zadok Jewelers click here.
