W&W 2025: Ulysse Nardin Diver Air. The World's Lightest Mechanical Diving Watch (Live Photos).

Ulysse Nardin just introduced the world’s lightest mechanical diving watch, which weighs 51.7 grams—our scale registered even less at 51.3 grams. This impressive 44-mm watch, which has a titanium case, a bezel made of upcycled carbon fiber, and sides made of ocean netting, was built upon the foundation of the Diver X Skeleton UN-372 movement.

However, for the new Ulysse Nardin Diver Air, a new high-tech calibre, the UN-374, had to be entirely rethought and redesigned. Breaking down the components of the watch, the calibre has a total weight of only 10.1 grams, the assembled case 35.6 grams, and 6.0 grams for the fabric velcro strap—either in orange or white.

Up to 90% of the automatic calibre UN-374 was made with upcycled titanium. The watch is water resistant to 200 meters and equipped with a screw-down crown. Additionally, it can withstand impacts up to 5000Gs. Composed of 199 parts, 21 jewels, and an escapement wheel, anchor, and balance spring in Silicon, the movement provides a long power reserve of 90 hours when fully wound.

On the wrist, the watch wears extremely light and quite comfortably. The elastic strap with velcro makes the watch super sporty and this type of strap allows for pretty much anyone regardless of their wrist size to wear the watch without a problem.
