Insider: Girard-Perregaux Laureato Skeleton Black Ceramic. A Stealthy Very Special Timepiece.

There is no doubt that here at WCL we are huge fans of the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Skeleton in all of its different iterations. However, there is something really special about the Laureato Skeleton Black Ceramic ref. 81015-32-001-32A. From the Editor: Girard-Perregaux Laureato the Best Option When You Can't Have a Nautilus or a Royal Oak

Since its release in 2016 to celebrate the 225th anniversary of the manufacture, the new Laureato has been on my radar as a watch that could easily compete against an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak ref. 15500ST with a blue dial or a Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5711/1A-010 blue dial. With a fully skeletonized dial this watch is similar in looks to the Royal Oak Openworked with its grey galvanized bridges; however, the Laureato Flying Tourbillon Skeleton looks much better as all the wheels and gears have been treated to maintain a nice monochromatic color scheme for its overall design.

News: Presenting the New Girard-Perregaux Laureato Flying Tourbillon Skeleton. Available in Two Types of Gold.

Just released in 18K white gold or 18K pink gold, the new Girard-Perregaux Laureato Flying Tourbillon Skeleton —a direct descendant of the original model launched in 1975—features an automatic movement that has been openworked to the extreme. The new Laureato Flying Tourbillon Skeleton thereby reveals the full extent to which its powerful architecture embodies the values and aspirations of an entire generation in quest of perfection.
