Fans of the energetic, intrepid Super Mario will recognize their favorite character taking over one of TAG Heuer’s emblematic collections, fittingly dedicated to racing. The never-seen-before design was achieved through close collaboration between the TAG Heuer and Nintendo teams to customize every detail of this piece. The watch highlights the common themes shared by the TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection and the Mario Kart series.

The new TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph Tourbillon is available in a limited edition of only 250 pieces and is equipped with a 45 mm case in grade 5 titanium. Projecting a sporty yet refined look, which mixes fine-brushed and polished finishing, the crown and pushers are in fine-brushed steel with the Mario logo in red for the crown.
This chronograph tourbillon features a black polished ceramic bezel with a tachymetric scale up to 400 km/h includes the Mario Kart logo in white superluminova between the scale and the 12 o’clock marker. The black dial with red accents is skeletonized adding depth and energy to the watch’s face, and a matching central hands and 60-second or minute scale on the flange. The tri-compax layout showcases two grained chronograph counters, one at 3 o’clock for the chronograph minutes and the other at 9 o’clock for the 12-hour chronograph. Taking the center stage at 6 o’clock, the tourbillon cage with alternate finishings and circled with superluminova was fully redesigned to showcase Mario in his kart, the Spiny Shell and Bullet Bill moving in rhythm with the complication that makes a rotation every 60 seconds. At 12 o’clock, a gearwheel echoes the rims on racecar tires.
The watch is delivered on a textured black calf strap with custom embossed pattern and with a red contrast stitching. The strap is secured by a grade 5 titanium deployant folding clasp with Mario logo on it. The strap is also lined in red.
Turning the watch over reveals a screwed-down case back also in grade 5 titanium with a custom sapphire glass featuring the Mario Kart logo. The COSC-certified Calibre Heuer 02T can be fully appreciated with its special oscillating weight depicting Mario in three different Karts. The case back is engraved with the limitation of the watch.
