Tapping into the old days of Panerai, six new Luminor Logo watches have been presented by Panerai at the SIHH 2018. These new watches are powered by a brand new in-house movement Calibre P.6000, all feature the OP logo in blue or white at 6 o'clock and three models are available with seconds indicator at 9 o'clock. Fitted with 44 mm stainless steel cases and the signature Luminor Marina crown protecting device, the six new Panerai watches are the perfect entry level Panerai for those with a budget under $5K USD but still looking for a watch with an in-house movement.
The six new references from top to bottom are the PAM 774, PAM 775, PAM 776, PAM 777, PAM 778 and PAM 779.
With this new release, Panerai has also presented two new fabric straps with leather insert on their perforations.
The new watches are all fitted with solid case backs that are snapped on instead of screwed-in to the case. While no one is really talking about this, we only wonder, how is it possible that these new watches are water resistant to 100 meters?
On the wrist, the watches wear true to their size and with the usual Panerai manly sturdy wrist presence. The watches are nice but yet another interesting move by Panerai to continue to gain market share without really thinking about how their DNA and history gets compromised.
Sticker Price $4,700 USD. For more info on Panerai click here.
