Only the clock masters at L’Epée 1839 could’ve thought of creating a mechanical table clock shaped after a smoking revolver. After numerous collaborations with MB&F, the oldest and most reputable clockmaker in Switzerland teamed up with The Unnamed Society —whose motto is “Create the impossible that cannot be imagined”— to come up with what has never been done before. The L’Epée 1839 'Pancho Villa' Pistol Clock Unique Piece is a mechanical table clock that gets wound by the barrel and that is exactly shaped like those old Colt Bisley pistols that Pancho Villa used to carry around during the Mexican Revolution.
Named after one of the most iconic Mexican Revolutionaries ‘El Caudillo del Norte’ —the leader of the north in the English language—, the L’Epée 1839 'Pancho Villa' Pistol Clock is a unique piece with carbon fiber grip panels that will for sure be a conversation piece no matter where you display it.
Things to Know About the Clock
The combination of a pistol and time rightly symbolizes the preciousness of every moment and the speed at which it can be stolen. In this glorious creation, ‘Pistol’ wonderfully beautifies the time through a seductive design and by means of a fascinating technical development.
Holding a power reserve of 8 days, the Pistol clock features a highly polished palladium-plated brass frame where the movement and two black time indication rings take the place of a cylinder. With the movement fully exposed and the balance wheel atop, the owner can really feel totally ‘connected’ to the clock movement without any barriers.
Each gun features a set of unique grip panels making each pistol clock a unique piece. To wind the clock, a winding key is inserted through the muzzle and into the barrel almost as if the owner was cleaning its gun each week while winding it. The L’Epée 1839 Pistol Clock also comes with a functional hammer and trigger that while it won’t fire any bullets, it completes the design to the last detail. The cylinder holding the hours and minutes allows the user to set the time manually as if he/she was checking the free rotation of the cylinder.
Each L’Epée 1839 'Pancho Villa' Pistol Clock comes in a bullet-shaped presentation box containing a circular display stand and a certificate with the thumbprint of the founder of The Unnamed Society.
