A master watchmaker with 25 years of experience, Christophe Claret has combined the finest horological complications in the three new models of the acclaimed Soprano presented at the SIHH 2016 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève. The Soprano is now also available in Chocolate, Blue and Black. The Chocolate model features 5N red gold and chocolate brown PVD-treated grade 5 titanium case under ref. MTR.TRD98.030-038, the Blue a 5N white gold and slate blue PVD-treated grade 5 titanium case as ref. MTR.TRD98.050-058 and the Black a 5N white gold and black PVD-treated grade 5 titanium as ref. MTR.TRD98.040-048. The case measuring 45 mm x 15.32 mm works as a perfect sound box for one of the most impressive minute repeaters out there. All three new models are available in a extremely exclusive 8-piece limited edition for each reference.
The Christophe Claret Soprano is a 4-note minute repeater striking Westminster Quarters on four patented cathedral gongs with four hammers and equipped with a 60-second tourbillon. These features are all found in a completely redesigned movement featuring a unique regulator that was designed and manufactured in-house.
The 45 mm round case harmoniously blends either 5N red gold or 5N white gold with grade 5 titanium treated with PVD depending on each model, subtly marrying precious metals and titanium. Tradition and modernity are united in this creation, entirely in keeping with the demands of ultra high-end watchmaking developed by the Manufacture Claret.
The dial-free front reveals the striking mechanism, allowing the wearer to marvel at the movement’s architecture —featuring Charles X style skeletonized stepped bridges—, the flawlessly finished tourbillon and the parachute shock absorber. The exceptional manual wound calibre TRD98 powering this watch, is fully visible via the display case back. The movement has a diameter of 27.6 mm and a thickness of 8.45 mm. Composed of 450 parts and 39 jewels, it provides a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound.
All three new models are fitted with a black alligator strap with contrast stitching and with a Christophe Claret signed deployant double folding clasp.
