Leopine is a relatively newish brand that started selling swimwear and pocket squares a couple of years ago. With one of his founders totally immersed in the watch industry, they decided to launch a line that would cater to watch collectors by adding subtle horological touches to their swimsuits, socks and pocket squares. Designed in Barcelona and made in Portugal, Leopine offers products for those in the ‘No Waiting List Club’. With sales now in more than 30 countries, there is no savvy watch collector out there that is not sporting these trunks in the fanciest beaches around the world.
Their latest limited edition —once they’re sold out they’re gone forever— trunks recently released for 2019’s summer, arrive after the huge success of their Gentalovers collection. The new Leopine Kelly’s Nightmare are a true homage to Patek Philippe and Kelly Yoch at Tiffany & Co. Now, if you don’t know Kelly Yoch, then you don’t know what ‘extra sauce’ stands for in the world of Patek and you are most likely part of the ‘Waiting List Club’.
Since at the moment Patek Philippe is going through so much hype, what better way to immortalize the frenzy around the Nautilus and the Aquanaut than with a set of these trunks. Quality inside and out. The inner mesh is manufactured in Portugal and finished with Ecotex which improves quick drying and is anti-bacterial. For their string, a vibrant lavender cord rounds out the design of the Kelly’s nightmare.
Now, whether you own a Patek Philippe Nautilus or Aquanaut with ‘Extra Sauce’ or not, these trunks are a must if you are a watchlifestyler or watch lover. While they offer sizes all the way up to 3XL like Vilebrequin, the whole Leopine line wears much smaller than its actual size, so be aware of that when ordering yours.
Unique looking, nicely designed and a must have if you are traveling around the best beaches in the world with a nice watch on your wrist.
