Today, Breitling introduces a new line of timepieces co-designed with fashion icon Victoria Beckham. The Chronomat Automatic 36 Victoria Beckham collection is limited to just 1,500 pieces and is the result of a one-of-a-kind collaboration between the luxury watchmaker and the celebrated fashion icon. When Victoria Beckham launched her eponymous clothing line in 2008, fashion’s biggest players waited with bated breath to see her catwalk debut.
More than 15 years later, Beckham’s designs are Fashion Week fixtures, coveted for their sleek sophistication and playful blend of feminine and masculine tailoring.
The Chronomat is Breitling’s chic, all-purpose timepiece and a particular favorite of women who want the best of both worlds: fashion and function. The Victoria Beckham collection retains classic Chronomat 36 mm features like the metal rouleaux bracelet and raised rider tabs at the 15-minute marks. These are combined with refined new colorways inspired by Beckham’s own Spring/Summer 2024 palette, including peppermint, midnight blue, dove gray, and sand.
The collection features both the Breitling logo on the dial and Victoria Beckham’s initials on the seconds hand —instead of the usual B for Breitling—, with a choice of cases in stainless steel or 18K yellow gold —a material specially revived by Breitling for use on this line. The dials also reference the limitation: “One of 400” for each of the stainless-steel pieces, and “One of 100” for each of the 18K yellow gold variations. Upon close examination, one can see the subtle VB logo and inscription on the bracelet instead of the usual Breitling elements.
Powered by the Breitling Caliber 10, the Chronomat Automatic 36 Victoria Beckham has a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. On the wrist, it keeps going as long as you do, thanks to the self-winding automatic three-hand movement with a date feature. Like all Breitling watches, each piece has achieved Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres —COSC— certification, a distinguished independent validation of its precision and performance.
This limited-edition Breitling Chronomat Automatic 36 Victoria Beckham comes in a specially designed co-branded box and the gold pieces are accompanied by a co-branded travel pouch.
In addition to the subtle VB elements, the stainless steel model with a dove gray dial features lab-grown diamond hour markers for that extra touch of bling.
Georges Kern, Breitling CEO, says “The Chronomat is already a versatile watch with a classic form. With Victoria Beckham’s signature style, this collection is a modern, radiant expression of that timepiece.”
Victoria Beckham says, "It has been wonderful watching Breitling’s craftsmanship and innovation come together with my ideas to create something so elegant and fresh.”
The collection’s marketing campaign was shot by legendary Italian fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, who has captured the world’s top leaders, celebrities, and supermodels, and whose work is permanently exhibited at the V&A Museum and National Gallery in London. The campaign features rising star Annemary Aderibigbe, a model who embodies the essence of both the Breitling and Victoria Beckham woman: strength, sophistication, plus a touch of the unexpected.
Sticker Price USD 5,600 for stainless steel, USD 5,950 for stainless steel with diamond markers on the dial, and USD 29,500 for 18K yellow gold. For more info on Breitling click here.
