Released in 2020 in black ceramic, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked now comes in a special edition in white ceramic as ref. 15416CB.OO.1225CB.01 and in a limited edition of 30 pieces. The new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked White Ceramic ref. 15416CB is fitted with a rhodium-toned open-worked dial with a blue balance bridge, blue hands, and a blue aventurine inner flange that provides a striking contrast.
The white ceramic 41 mm case and bracelet elegantly frame the rhodium-toned double-balance wheel mechanism. The case has a thickness of 9.7 mm and a water resistance of 50 meters. The blue aventurine inner bezel, white gold applied hour-markers, and black Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating.
The new Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked White Ceramic is powered by the in-house automatic calibre 3132. Composed of 245 parts and 38 jewels, the movement provides a power reserve of 45 hours while oscillating at a frequency of 21,600 vph. This movement featuring a patented innovation, involves a complex fabrication procedure that improves the watch’s precision and stability. By incorporating two balance wheels and two hairsprings that are assembled on the same axis, the system oscillates in perfect synchrony.
