Insider: Tudor Pelagos Blue ref. 25600TB. The Best Diving Watch Under $5K.

The Tudor Pelagos was first presented in 2012 as one of the first watches released by Tudor during its revamped era that started in 2010. The first generation of the Tudor Pelagos was only available with a black dial —with a two-liner depth rating— and powered by an ETA 2824 movement. When the Tudor Pelagos Blue ref. 25600TB was presented in 2015, it marked the first time that Tudor would be using an in-house calibre on any watch. The Tudor Pelagos Blue maintains the same titanium and steel 42 mm case construction as its predecessors but powered by the in-house calibre MT5612.

News: Presenting the Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Navy Blue

Ever faithful to its long tradition of blue sports watches, Tudor now offers a Navy Blue version of its flagship model, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight. The Black Bay Fifty-Eight Navy Blue gets its name from its color, of course, but also from the year 1958, in which the first Tudor divers’ watch waterproof to 200 meters —660 ft—, reference 7924 or “Big Crown”, was presented. Among other aesthetic nods to this historic watch, this model offers a 39 mm diameter case in 316L stainless steel in keeping with the characteristic proportions of the 1950s.

Baselworld 2019: Tudor Black Bay P01 ref. M70150. Live Pictures & Price.

A total newcomer and not just another color variation of Tudor’s Black Bay line. The new Tudor Black Bay P01 takes its inspiration from a prototype presented to the U.S. Navy in the late 1960s and that never went into production. The name of said prototype was Montre Plongeur “Commando.” The new Black Bay P01 is equipped with a bezel system that was patented in 1968. This blocking bezel system via the end link at 12 o’clock, allowed for the wearer to lock, turn or disassemble the bezel for cleaning. This watch is an interesting release for Baselworld 2019 and one that is better looking in person than in pictures. A robust and very solid watch with a sporty and somewhat military feel to it.

Experience: Alfred Dunhill Cadogan Engine-Turn Slip Card Case. A Perfect Match for a GMT Watch.

As traditional billfold wallets become more scarce with the use of electronic currency and credit cards, well made cardholders have become a necessity and here at WCL they're one of those items we absolutely love. While the Alfred Dunhill Cadogan Engine-Turn Slip card case might not be as exclusive as pulling out a Faure Le Page or Goyard card holder, it still seems to be the perfect pairing for a Tudor Black Bay GMT; at the end of the day the Greenwich Mean Time —GMT— is the mean solar time at the Royal Observatory in London where Alfred Dunhill is from.
