Celebrating its 150th Anniversary, IWC will be unveiling 27 new timepieces during the SIHH —Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie— in January 2018. With new watches within the Portugieser, Portofino, Pilot's and Da Vinci collections, IWC marks this occasion, also launching its first-ever wristwatch to feature the original digital hours and minute display as it appeared on the Pallweber pocket watches back in 1884. Founded in 1868 by American watchmaking pioneer Florentine Ariosto Jones, the International Watch Company in Schaffhausen was established with the aim of combining skilled Swiss craftsmanship with American manufacturing technology to create the best pocket watches money could buy back then.

The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time was discontinued a couple of years ago with the release of the new Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection. Today, in preparation for the SIHH 2018, Vacheron Constantin just unveiled at the Dubai Watch Week, the new Overseas Dual Time this time powered by an in-house calibre and boasting a new case design and dial layout. Fitted with a 41 mm case —1.5 millimeters smaller than the previous iteration of the Overseas Dual Time ref. 47450—, the watch is available in either 18K 5N rose gold or stainless steel with its iconic bezel evoking Vacheron Constantin’s famous Maltese cross emblem.

Two months ahead of the SIHH 2018 —Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie—, Cartier presents the new Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Day & Night Watch. The Rotonde de Cartier watch lends its generous dial to two historic Cartier complications: the mysterious movement and a Day/Night indicator. These two complications are part of Cartier’s watchmaking heritage both dating from 1912. On one hand, the mysterious movement was created for the Model A mystery clock, while the day/night movement was part of the Comet clock a.k.a the Planet clock.

Two months ahead of the SIHH 2018 —Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie—, Cartier presents the new Rotonde de Cartier Skeleton Mysterious Double Tourbillon with the tourbillon appearing to be suspended in mid-air with no connection to the rest of the movement —a clever optical illusion created by Cartier. Additionally, a double flying tourbillon completes a rotation in 60 seconds, while the tourbillon cage performs a second rotation in which each round takes 5 minutes.
