The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak pen is one of those watch swag items that very few get to possess. Designed after the most iconic elements on the Royal Oak, the pen has an octagonal shape and is fully engraved with a pattern resembling the legendary tapisserie on the Royal Oak's dial. While the pen is quite similar in design to the Caran d'Ache pens, the pen is much thicker than those and extremely heavy for a ballpoint type of pen —total weight almost 43 grams.
Just like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, the pen features a nice set of alternating brushed and mirror polished surfaces. The tapisserie on the body of the pen is remarkably well done and the clip features 'Audemars Piguet' on it. Clearly, no corners were cut when designing and manufacturing this writing instrument to proudly represent the look of the Royal Oak.
Even though the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak pen is quite heavy when compared to other fine writing instruments, the octagonal design of its tip makes it very comfortable when writing for a long period of time. Additionally, the top of the pen cap features the 'AP' logo in full glory.
Next time you are getting ready to write a hand-written thank you note –something we don't do very often anymore as computers and electronic devices have taken over the old habit of hand-writing— to that special someone, or just taking notes during a top priority C-suite meeting, make sure you pair the Audemars Piguet timepiece on your wrist, with one of these beautiful pens. Just know that unfortunately, Audemars Piguet does not sell this pen and is only given as a token of appreciation to those worthy of having one.
Thank you AP!
