The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony epitomizes understated elegance and timeless sophistication. With its clean lines, uncluttered dial, and slender profile at only 7.72 mm in thickness, the Patrimony exudes a classic charm that transcends fleeting trends. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail and the highest level of Swiss watchmaking expertise, each timepiece in the Patrimony collection stands as a testament to Vacheron Constantin's rich heritage and commitment to excellence.
Whether adorned with a simple two-hand configuration or a more complex look like that of the Moon Phase Retrograde Date, the Patrimony embodies a harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary refinement, making it a cherished companion for those with a discerning eye for fine horology. At Watches & Wonders 2024, the oldest watch manufacture in the world presented an updated Patrimony Manual-Winding with a smaller case measuring 39 mm —one millimeter smaller than its predecessor— in diameter and available in either 18K white gold as reference 1410U/000G-H017 or in 18K pink gold as reference 1410U/000R-H018.
Things to Know About the Watch
The new Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Manual-Winding with its new diameter, new dial, and strap colors is equipped with an antique-looking silver-toned dial, a closed case back providing a blank canvas for personalized engraving and two new strap colors in azure blue for the pink gold model and olive green for the white gold model.
First presented in 1955 to mark Vacheron Constantin’s bicentenary, two years later, Vacheron Constantin unveiled Reference 6179, which has since inspired the Patrimony collection. With its perfectly round case surrounded by a slender bezel, a slightly convex dial punctuated by slender hour-markers, and a ‘pearl’ minutes track, the Patrimony collection embodies minimalism and creates a magic allure in a simple yet very sophisticated collection. The dial on the new Patrimony Manual-Winding features a vintage aura unlike any other modern watch created by the brand.
The Case Back & Movement
Turning the watch over reveals a solid case back protecting calibre 1440 powering this new reference. The solid case back provides the owner with the ability to add a personalized engraving to render the timepiece a deeply personal and unique memento. This engraving commemorates a special occasion, conveys a meaningful message, or simply bears the owner's initials, and each inscription adds a layer of significance to the watch. It serves as a subtle reminder of moments cherished or achievements celebrated, tracing a story that intertwines with the passage of time.
The craftsmanship involved in etching the engraving demands precision and skill, ensuring that every detail is flawlessly preserved. As the watch rests against the wearer's skin, the engravings act as a silent tribute to the personal bond shared between an individual and their timepiece.
The 116-part manual wound movement calibre 1440 was fully developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, it bears the Poinçon de Genève and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph to provide a power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound.
