The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Ultra-Thin Skeleton was first presented in 2020 with a white minute track ring and white rings around the perpetual calendar indications. Now for Watches & Wonders 2022, Vacheron Constantin brings a new iteration also cased in pink gold but with blue rings that add amazing contrast to an already very good-looking watch. The remarkably slim case at just 8.1 mm thick maintains the same 41.5 mm diameter and the watch is delivered with a matching pink gold bracelet and two additional straps in blue rubber and blue calf leather. Like all models in the Overseas collection, this new watch offers the convenient bracelet/strap interchangeability system.
Things to Know About the Watch
Available in an 18K 5N all-gold version, the new Overseas Skeleton Perpetual Ultra-Thin Skeleton in blue perpetuates the travel-driven spirit of the collection and combines the refinement of precious metal with the nobility of its ultra-thin open-worked complication movement. The skeletonization is remarkably well finished and the new blue color scheme is a perfect match to the moon phase disc backdrop. A very sexy-looking watch with this new color combination.
The Movement
The 41.5 mm case accommodates the automatic ultra-thin in-house movement calibre 1120 QPSQ/1 with a perpetual calendar and moon-phase display. The latter function involves impressive feats of miniaturization enabling it to cope with calendar irregularities while eliminating any need for correction until 2100. No less than 276 components are housed in a thickness of barely 4.05 mm. Beating at a frequency of 19,800 vph, this automatic movement is endowed with an approximately 40-hour power reserve.

On the wrist, the new Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Ultra-Thin Skeleton Blue wears true to its size and is much nicer than its predecessor with white rings on the skeletonized dial.
