For Watches & Wonders 2024, Vacheron Constantin decided to do a first in the Overseas collection and a new color for four 18K pink gold models including the Overseas Chronograph, Overseas Dual Time, and Self-Winding Date in 41 mm and 35 mm was presented. By endowing the dials with an intense sunburst green color, the Maison breaks the classic color codes of Overseas watches that typically had been offered in black, silver, pinkish beige, and blue. Combining the deep brilliance of pink gold with the intensity of green, these new timepieces are pure fire. One of our favorites is the new Overseas Dual Time Sunburst Green Dial ref. 7920V/210R-B965 which could have easily been released as a special edition for Mexico because of the combination of the green dial and the red accents on the AM/PM indicator and on the dual time pointer hand.
To accentuate the intensity of this new sunburst green color, the color is applied with a translucent lacquered backdrop playing on depth effects. While the center of the dial is graced with sunburst satin-brushing, the flange and subdials —in the case of the Dual Time model is the subdial for the date indicator— are delicately velvet-finished. The legibility of the models is ensured by the contrast between the gold hour markers and hands highlighted with Super-LumiNova and the dark dial color.
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time reference 7920V/210R-B965 features a 41 mm case in 18K 5N Pink Gold Pink Gold with a soft iron casing ring ensuring anti-magnetic protection. The watch is fitted with a translucent intense green-lacquered, sunburst satin-finished, and green velvet-finished flange dial. This watch is powered by the 234-part automatic movement calibre 5110DT fully developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin and equipped with a 22K gold Overseas oscillating weight. This movement provides a power reserve of 60 hours. The watch is water resistant to 150 meters thanks to its screw-down crown and quarter-turn screw lock pusher for date correction and is delivered on an 18K 5N pink gold bracelet with half Maltese cross-shaped polished and satin-brushed links, secured by an 18K 5N pink gold triple-blade folding clasp with push-pieces and comfort-adjustment system. The watch is supplied with additional straps in green calfskin leather with grey stitches and in green rubber along with an 18K 5N pink gold buckle with an interchangeable system, compatible with both additional straps. While all three looks are incredible, we absolutely love it on the bracelet and the rubber strap.
