After the successful release of the Égérie collection in 2020, Vacheron Constantin is adding the new Égérie Moon Phase in pink gold that features a grey taupe-colored opaline dial with the ‘pleats’ pattern that is the signature of this collection and made with a guilloché technique. This new watch like the new generation of Vacheron Constantin Overseas, benefits from an interchangeable strap system offering versatility and variety.
Its off-centered dial layout highlights the position of the crown between 1 and 2 o’clock, and its pleated effect is reminiscent of delicate fabric finishing, brought to life by the art of tapestry. With a feminine name for a watch inspired by women, the name comes from the famous nymph Egeria featured in Roman mythology to the contemporary muses who inspire artists, designers, and other creative talents.
The new Vacheron Constantin Égérie Moon Phase is equipped with an 18K 5N pink gold case measuring 37 mm in diameter and 9.32 mm in thickness. The bezel is set with 58 round-cut diamonds and the dial features a ring around the moon phase aperture that is set with 36 round-cut diamonds. The total diamond-setting for the watch includes 94 diamonds, for a total weight of approximately 1.10 carats —guaranteed minimum carats.
The Vacheron Constantin Égérie Moon Phase is powered by the in-house automatic calibre 1088 L composed of 164 parts and which provides a power reserve of 40 hours when fully wound. The movement is visible via the display case back and it features a 22K gold open-worked oscillating weight with the Maltese cross.
The crown is set with a moonstone cabochon and the watch is delivered with three interchangeable taupe-colored straps, in alligator leather, satin, and quilted lambskin —pictured below—, the latter being a leather proposed for the first time by Vacheron Constantin. Each strap is equipped with an 18K 5N pink gold pin buckle.
