The Ulysse Nardin Diver X Nemo Point is a timepiece for the Everest of the Seas issued in a limited edition of 300 pieces and instantly recognizable by the “X” on its dial. The new Diver X Nemo Point limited edition celebrates sailors and its name refers to the location in the ocean that is farthest from the land. This location crossed by many sailors is located in the South Pacific off of the coast of Chile and gets his name after Jules Verne’s seafaring Captain Nemo from Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas and The Mysterious Island.
Fitted with a 44 mm case in titanium, the new Ulysse Nardin Diver X Nemo Point is individually numbered in the traditional way the brand has been doing it with an applied plaque on the left caseband. Providing great contrast against the blue color scheme of the watch, the crown, the running seconds and power reserve indicators, as well as the unidirectional rotating bezel feature bright red accents.
The Ulysse Nardin Diver X Nemo Point is powered by the automatic in-house Ulysse Nardin calibre UN-118. This movement composed of 260 parts beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph providing a power reserve of 60 hours when fully wound. Protecting the movement and guaranteeing a water resistance of 300 meters, the solid case back features the geographical coordinates of Nemo Point, as well as the route of the Vendée Globe race.
With its fabric strap with blue and red stitching reminiscent of the leash on a surfboard, the Ulysses Nardin Diver X Nemo Point is one of the most elegant and robust timepieces ever made. A perfect combination of blue and red, two colors heavily related to the exploration of the seas.
