Insider: Richard Mille RM 26-02 Tourbillon Evil Eye. Perfectly Suited for Halloween.
The concept of the Evil Eye, also known as Ayin Harsha in Arabic countries, Nazar in Turkey or Matiasma in Greece, is a glance believed to have the power to cause harm to those on whom it falls and can come from anyone at any moment. The belief is that the cause can be zealously, malevolent jealousy or envy. The Evil Eye knows no boundaries except those imposed on it by various protective talismans, like those popular Turkish or Israeli blown glass blue and white eyes. Today, we bring you a different type of amulet, one that you can strap on your wrist and protect you as others less fortunate take a quick glimpse at your powerful timepiece.

Insider: Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Regulator ref. 5235. Pure Perfection at its Best.
The Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Regulator ref. 5235G-001 is the first Patek Philippe regulator watch from this manufacture. This exceptional timepiece fitted with a 40.5 mm white gold case and an in-house movement, is pure perfection at its best. Insider: Konstantin Chaykin 'Carpe Diem'. The Timepiece with a Mechanical Hourglass and Chronos with his Scythe.
The Latin quote 'Carpe Diem' is one that takes us back to the epic scene in the movie "Dead Poets Society" when English teacher, John Keating —Robin Williams—, tells their students that the Latin sentiment for the term "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may" is "Carpe Diem" and then proceeds to ask them if they know what that means. Thereafter, Mr. Meeks answers the question by saying that "Carpe Diem" means "seize the day" in English. The Konstantin Chaykin 'Carpe Diem' timepiece is a watch that truly evokes that sentiment with a solid silver patinated bas-relief of 'Chronos' leaning over an hourglass and wielding a harvesting scythe.

Insider: Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Chronograph ref. 5960/1A. Exceptional is an Understatement.
Today, we bring you our hands-on review of the exceptional Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Chronograph ref. 5960/1A. When the ref. 5960P was first launched in 2006, this reference won instant acclaim. It was the manufacture's first self-winding chronograph, manifested a new and unique style with its prominent monocounter and three large calendar apertures, and quickly established itself as one of the most coveted timepieces of the Patek Philippe portfolio. The success story continued with further versions in rose gold. Now, the letter 'A' in the model designation 5960/1A —which stands for 'acier', steel in French—, announces a paradigm change. The Annual Calendar Chronograph in stainless steel is not only the latest sibling of its lineage but had also replaced the gold and platinum versions.

Insider: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Extra-Thin Tourbillon ref. 26510OR. Hands-on with Our Favorite Tourbillon in the Market.
Sublime, exceptional and elegant, are the words we like to use to describe what we consider to be the 'our favorite Tourbillon in the market'. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon has a very rich history within Audemars Piguet. The first Royal Oak Tourbillon was released in 1992 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Royal Oak and its name the Royal Oak Jubilee. Then in 1997, one of the most unique and rare Royal Oaks ever made was presented by Audemars Piguet. We are talking about the Royal Oak Automatique Tourbillon 25th Anniversary ref. 25831 of which only 5 pieces were ever made in 18K rose gold to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak as we featured it here. This exceptional limited edition watch was produced in very limited quantities in stainless steel —only 25 pieces—, 18K yellow gold —5 pieces—, 950 platinum —5 with blue dial and 5 with salmon dial— and it is the only Royal Oak Tourbillon fitted with an automatic calibre up to date.
Insider: A. Lange & Söhne Datograph Perpetual 18K White Gold. A Stunning Flyback Chronograph with Perpetual Calendar.
Our friends from Saxony, A. Lange & Söhne have decided to expand its range of dial and metals for its Datograph chronograph collection several months ago. Two new highly attractive models, one a Datograph Up/Down in 18K pink gold with black dial and the other, an 18K white gold Datograph Perpetual with grey dial are now available. The Datograph Perpetual —available in 18K pink gold and silver dial up until now— is now also available in 18K white gold with a grey dial making it even more appealing to watch connoisseurs. The argenté-colored subsidiary dials and deep-blue moon disc on the new model of the Datograph Perpetual stand out particularly clearly thanks to the dial’s subtle grey background. Since 2006, the name has represented a combination of a flyback chronograph and a perpetual calendar, which will not require correction until 2100. If this does ever become necessary, however, the calendar indicators can be advanced either individually or synchronously. Its chronograph can measure times to an accuracy of one-fifth of a second.
