Last week at the Lamborghini Headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese in Italy, Roger Dubuis released two new watches as part of their recently announced partnership with this automaker. The two new watches with pricing in excess of $190,000 USD each, are the new Roger Dubuis Excalibur Aventador S Yellow and the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Aventador S Orange. This new releases mark the start of the partnership between Roger Dubuis and Lamborghini, two brands sharing the same values in terms of technological innovation and customer experiences. The two new watches are powered by a brand new calibre that takes its inspiration from the engine of the Lamborghini Aventador S and the new groundbreaking Huracàn Super Trofeo EVO.
The new Excalibur Aventador S timepieces are the first horological expression of this high-speed partnership, channeling unreasonable sensations and exceptional power. Determined to create an ultimate experience like sliding into a Lamborghini, the teams have shared their respective design skills. The resulting two models combine noble and high-tech materials while ensuring top-rate performance. These include multi-layered carbon and C-SMC carbon cases based on the same technology as that used for Lamborghini cars.
The New Duotor Calibre RD103SQ
The Excalibur Aventador S is indeed driven by an outstanding ‘engine’ in the shape of the specially developed in-house Duotor calibre RD103SQ. This Lamborghini-exclusive Roger Dubuis manual movement with double sprung balances embodies an ongoing evolution of the Maison’s expertise, entirely reinterpreted in light of this automobile alliance.
The Duotor calibre is notably distinguished by engine strut bars revisiting the iconic Roger Dubuis Astral Skeleton principle, striking an astounding contrast with the rest of the movement, as if the engine ‘hood’ were transparent.
Recalling the performance enhancing longitudinal placement of Lamborghini engines tailored to the design of the sleek, streamlined cars, the double balance wheel is inclined at a similar angle, supported and highlighted by holders shaped like triangular wheel suspension assemblies. The movement is composed of 312 parts and 49 jewels to provide a power reserve of 40 hours when fully wound while beating at a frequency of 57,600 vph —2 x 4 Hz.
Excalibur Aventador S Yellow
The Excalibur Aventador S is available in two versions epitomizing the “Dare to be Rare” concept through. Both watches are fitted with 45 mm skeletonized Excalibur Spider cases and water resistant to 50 meters. The Excalibur Aventador S Yellow is available in a limited edition of 88 pieces and it features the “Giallo Orion” yellow paint code from Lamborghini with a multilayered carbon and titanium case with a skeletonized dial with rhodium plated, black and yellow flange, rhodium plated indexes filled with white luminous superluminova black PVD 18K gold hour and minute hands with yellow transfer and white luminous superluminova tips. The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Aventador S Yellow is equipped with a bi-material strap with black rubber base and black rubber-tech inlay with yellow contrast stitching and a titanium black DLC adjustable folding clasp.

Excalibur Aventador S Orange
The Excalibur Aventador S Orange is much more exclusive and available in a limited edition of 8 pieces only. This version features the “Arancio Argos” orange paint code from Lamborghini with a C-SMC carbon with titanium case —a world premiere using this new material— with a skeletonized C-SMC carbon dial with black PVD, orange and white flange, rhodium plated indexes filled with white luminous superluminova, black PVD 18K gold hour and minute hands with orange transfer and black luminous superluminova tips. The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Aventador S Orange is equipped with a bi-material strap with black rubber base and black Alcantara inlay with orange contrast stitching and a titanium black DLC adjustable folding clasp.
