Things to Know About the Watch
The very slender stainless steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter is only 7.2 mm thick. Its slender profile is directly correlated to the name of the watch, where XP stands for ‘Extra Plat’ —the french words for extra-flat. The galvanic blue dial is extremely elegant and the use of rose gold on its slender hands, hour markers and numerals adds a very nice level of contrast and improved readability.
The Case
The slender stainless steel case is paired with a blue wool fabric strap equipped with a pin buckle in stainless steel. The strap is very unique looking with somewhat of a checkered woven pattern.
The Movement
Fully visible via its display case back, the beating heart inside the new Chopard L.U.C XP Galvanic Blue is the COSC in-house automatic L.U.C Caliber 96.53-L. The movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph with a 58-hour power reserve thanks to its Twin technology —a Chopard-patented system combining two coaxial barrels. This super slender movement measures only 3.3 mm thick and is beautifully finished with a 22K white gold micro rotor. The movement bears the Fleurier Quality Foundation hallmark.
