The Breitling Superocean collection is one of the most successful and representative watch lines from this brand. Now under the reigns of former IWC President Georges Kern the brand has gone through an interesting transformation, with some good releases and others we don’t like so much. However, the new Superocean Collection unveiled during Baselworld 2019 was a solid home run in our opinion. The new collection not only reflects the brand’s diving DNA very well, but also takes into consideration the so many different wrist sizes around the world and delivers a solid offering with five different sizes to please almost everyone.
From a massive 48 mm —featured here— all the way down to a 36 mm perfectly suited for small wrists or for women, the new watches are certain to appeal to people with active lifestyles, seeking a timepiece that is made to withstand the elements and specifically water activities.
Powering the new watches is the Breitling Calibre 17 based off of the ETA 2824-2, while not an in-house calibre, this automatic movement with 25 jewels offers a power reserve of around 38 hours while beating at a frequency of 28,800 vph. All of the new watches are COSC-certified chronometers and feature bright superluminova numerals, indexes, and hands, ensuring excellent readability in any conditions. All watches feature a screwed-in solid case back as well as a screw-down crown.
Breitling Superocean 46
The Superocean 46 has, as its name suggests, a 46 mm case in black steel —DLC-coated stainless steel. This big, bold watch is available with either a black or blue dial and a matching Diver Pro III rubber strap with a pin buckle or folding clasp. It has a ratcheted unidirectional bezel, an essential tool for the committed diver. The robust Superocean 46 is a true deep diver, water resistant up to 2000 meters.

Breitling Superocean 44
The Superocean 44, with its 44 mm stainless steel case, is available with either a black or blue dial and a choice of a matching Diver Pro II rubber strap or a stainless steel bracelet. It has a ratcheted unidirectional bezel. The Superocean 44 is capable of joining you on all of your underwater adventures up to a depth of 1000 meters.

Breitling Superocean 42
The Superocean 42 has been crafted with a 42 mm stainless steel case and a choice of a black, white, or orange dial. The watch is presented on a Diver Pro II rubber strap or on a stainless steel bracelet and has a ratcheted unidirectional bezel. The Superocean 42 is water resistant up to 500 meters. Our favorite without a doubt is the white dial one.

The Superocean 36 is designed for women —but it could still be worn by men with smaller wrists— who want the quality and performance of a great sport watch in a more compact size. It has a 36 mm stainless steel case with a ratcheted unidirectional bezel and a choice of either a light blue or white dial and a matching Diver Pro II rubber strap or a stylish stainless-steel bracelet.
