If technical developments are closely bound up with Breguet’s history, so are its decorative principles. The company’s signature aesthetic codes and the outstanding level of finish done by hand according to age-old techniques permeate all its collections. Breguet is one of the few watch manufacturers that does all its engine-turned engravings in the traditional way, and it has recently expanded its workshops to keep ancient craft skills alive and to unite its artistic crafts in one location. This respect for tradition, constantly reformulated, is expressed in every timepiece. Breguet’s distinguished past is thus frequently revived by its craftsmen and women, who constantly create new timepieces that pay tribute to the past in a contemporary way. A few years ago, Breguet demonstrated its skills in gem setting by revealing a technique that gave diamonds unprecedented movement. This is how the Crazy Flower and Petite Fleur collections enlivened watches and jewellery. Breguet today presents an even more outstanding model called the B Crazy ref. GJ25BB8989DDDD as a direct descendent of these exceptional watches.
Set with 70 carats of baguette cut diamonds, this timepiece shows off its resolutely contemporary design. The diamonds arranged in asymmetric rows radiate from the sides of the case, thanks to an exclusive setting method developed by Breguet. The dial, representing the heart of this flower of diamonds, highlights the hours and minutes subdial, making time the source of the bloom. The continuation of the baguette-cut diamonds paving the white gold bracelet extends the brilliance and exclusive character of this creation. Cased in an 18K white gold ovoid case measuring 33 mm x 24.95 mm, the case band is set with more than 1000 baguette-cut mobile diamonds and a flange set in staggered rows with 56 baguette diamonds. The Breguet B Crazy High Jewelry watch is fitted with a dial in 18K white gold with a radial paving of 133 baguette-cut diamonds with Breguet open-tipped hands in blued steel.
Like all Breguet timepieces, this uniquely three-dimensional item of jewellery is equipped with a mechanical movement featuring the brand’s latest innovations in luxury watchmaking. A sapphire-crystal case back allows you to admire all the components on the Breguet automatic calibre 586/1 as well as the meticulous finishing work on the engine-turned platinum rotor. The movement is fitted with 29 jewels and provides a power reserve of 40 hours when fully wound.
The bracelet also in 18K white gold is pavéd with more than 200 baguette-cut diamonds.
This amazing piece of high jewelry by Breguet, does come with a steep price as expected considering the craftsmanship and the amount of diamonds on the timepiece. We know that any lady would be eager to put this amazing jewel on their wrist.
