Just as if the news two days ago about the Mechanical Nano weren't big and impressive enough, Greubel Forsey adds to the excitement in preparation for the SIHH 2017 —from where we will be reporting live next Monday January 16th, 2017— with the release of one of the most impressive timepieces out there, we are talking about the Greubel Forsey Grande Sonnerie. A timepiece that took eleven years of research and development and assembling of no less than 935 parts in addition to the filling of two patents.

News: Pre-SIHH 2017 New Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic Tourbillon Universal Time. The World's First Worldtimer with Flying Tourbillon.

Created in 1958 by Jaeger-LeCoultre in honor of the International Geophysical Year, the first Geophysic watch remains a symbol of Swiss expertise par excellence. In keeping with this tradition, JLC launched the Geophysic collection in 2015; a collection of several models combining powerful watchmaking expertise with a classic, timeless aesthetic. The last major facelift to the IWC DaVinci took place in 2007 with the introduction of the new in-house calibre 89. Then in 2009, the IWC Da Vinci Digital Perpetual Calendar Date-Month ref. 3761 was presented as a major innovation for the brand; a year later in 2010, the IWC Da Vinci Chronograph Ceramic followed. Marking the first time that Cartier associates a Mysterious Complication with a Minute Repeater, this is a double complication like no other. The new Rotonde de Cartier Minute Repeater Mysterious Double Tourbillon. Fitted with a measuring 45 mm in diameter and a mere thickness of 11.15 mm, this new watch is powered by the new Cartier in-house calibre 9407MC.

News: Pre-SIHH 2017 New Panerai Radiomir 3 Days PAM 685 & PAM 687. The Panerais with the Bezel That Looks Like Their Case Back.

n the late 1930s, Panerai made a number of Radiomir watches with a special 12-sided bezel, engraved with the words “OFFICINE PANERAI – BREVETTATO”. This inscription referred to the patented luminous substance Radiomir used on the dial, and it suggests that the watches were used not for military operations but for presenting to the authorities of the Royal Italian Navy, which was evaluating new instruments for underwater missions.

On the occasion of its 260th anniversary, Vacheron Constantin unveiled the Harmony collection at the SIHH 2015. Housed in an unusual cushion-shaped case, Vacheron Constantin is now introducing ten new references equipped with several in-house calibres and developed around the chronograph, tourbillon or dual time complications. Out of these new ten timepieces within the Vacheron Constantin collection, one that stands out and that we absolutely love is the remarkable Harmony complete calendar equipped with an unprecedented in-house movement.

News: Pre-SIHH 2017 New Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde Date ref. 4010U.

Unveiled ahead of the SIHH 2017, the new Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Moon Phase and Retrograde Date features a timelessly understated round case, which houses an in-house automatic calibre powering a high-precision moon indication combined with a retrograde date display. To ensure optimal user-friendliness, all adjustments of these functions are performed via the crown. Vacheron Constantin is presenting this new timepiece in a 42.5 mm case either in 18K pink gold or 18K white gold.
