The Patek Philippe ref. 4978 Diamond Ribbon Joaillerie is now available in a new 18K white gold design with a slightly larger diameter, increased from 33.3 mm to 36.5 mm. As a result, the distinctive diamond embellishments orbiting the case like gymnasts’ twirling ribbons and the spiraling circles of graduated diamonds adorning the dial make an even greater impression. Beneath this radiant exterior beats the automatic calibre 240 enabling the watch to maintain its slim, elegant profile.

Fully set with diamonds and blued gold applied numerals, the gem-setting work is simply remarkable. A total of 679 diamonds of graduated size form the spiral on the dial totaling approximately 3.99 carats between the case and the dial. Then, 91 diamonds are spread through the lugs —48 diamonds—, the crown —16 diamonds— and the pin buckle —27 diamonds. A total of 770 diamonds with a total of 4.4 carats comprise the design of the new Patek Philippe ref. 4978 Diamond Ribbon Joaillerie. The watch is delivered on a shiny dusk blue alligator strap with square scales and equipped with a diamond-set pin buckle.

Powering the Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. 4978/400G Diamond Ribbon Joaillerie is the ultra-thin automatic in-house calibre 240 composed of 161 parts and 27 jewels. The calibre provides a power reserve of 48 hours when fully wound and is visible via the display case back. This calibre, with a diameter of 27.5 mm and a height of merely 2.53 mm is composed features the iconic 22K gold mini-rotor that Patek Philippe is very well known for.
