We are talking about the 'time only' Breguet Classique Small Seconds ref. 7147. This new timepiece, that couldn't be more Breguet as it is heavily fueled by the rich DNA and history of the brand is available in 18K rose gold or 18K white gold. Fitted with a perfectly sized case measuring 40 mm in diameter and only 6.10 mm in thickness, this watch is not only very slim but also designed to fit well on almost any size of wrist. The Breguet Classique ref. 7147 features the the traditional fluting along the case band and is fitted with a supple brown alligator strap with the classic Breguet folding clasp. The watch is water resistant to 30 meters.
The Breguet Classique ref. 7147 features a silvered 18K gold dial with hand-guilloché that includes three different motifs: 'Clous de Paris' for the center of of the dial, satin brushed hours chapter ring that is cross-hatched on its edge and woven motif for the offset small seconds subdial. The blued hands along with the secret signatures at 12 o'clock and black Roman numerals on the chapter ring for the hours complete the elegant look of this watch.
The beating heart inside the new Breguet Classique Small Seconds ref. 7147 is the extra-thin automatic Breguet calibre 502.3SD with a mere thickness of 2.4 mm, equipped with 35 jewels and which provides a 45-hour power reserve when fully wound. Featuring inverted in-line Swiss lever escapement with silicon pallets and balance-spring in silicon, the movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vph. Fully visible via the display case back, one can appreciate the beautifully finished oscillating weight with à grains d'orge guilloché—barleycorn motif.
On the wrist, the watch wears true to its actual size and extremely elegantly. Definitely a watch you would want to wear while wearing a suit or in a formal dressy setting. Not a watch that looks good with a pair of jeans or with casual clothes.
