News: The Rolex Watchmaking Training Center Accepting Applications for Inaugural Class in Dallas, Texas
The Rolex Watchmaking Training Center located in Dallas, TX was created in 2023 to prepare and educate the next generation of Rolex-certified watchmakers, furthering Rolex’s mission to create a stable and sustainable future for watchmaking in the United States.
As an integrated and independent Swiss watch manufacture, the Rolex brand, headquartered in Geneva, is recognized the world over for its expertise and the quality of its products —symbols of excellence, elegance, and prestige. Part of Rolex’s heritage is its know-how, which the company has made a priority to pass on. Training is one of the most precious benefits that Rolex can offer future generations.
The innovative 18-month course is entirely tuition-free and includes robust technical training, more conceptual education, and a special six-month focus on servicing Rolex watches. The program prepares students for successful and rewarding careers far beyond their time at the RWTC itself, with mentorship and an emphasis on fundamentals. Each course culminates with a final exam at Rolex headquarters, in Geneva, Switzerland, and graduating students are eligible for job placement in the Rolex affiliate network.
Applications for the inaugural class at the Rolex Watchmaking Training Center are now available on the newly launched website, rolexwatchmakingtrainingcenter.com More information about the program, profiles of the administrators and instructors, news and stories, as well as an online application can be found on the site.
Courses are set to open for the first class in September of 2024, and then annual courses will begin in March and September. Applications are currently being accepted on a rolling basis, and interested students are encouraged to apply now. The team of nine administrators and instructors brings decades of watchmaking and education experience to the table and looks forward to welcoming students to the brand-new facilities in Dallas, Texas.
Rolex has always had the well-being of the people who keep the company alive at heart. In 2018, Rolex also opened a Training Center in Geneva near its headquarters, dedicated to nurturing talent and developing the next generation.
