Introducing: MB&F LM Perpetual Longhorn and LM Sequential Flyback Longhorn
This year 2025, MB&F will mark a major milestone with their 20th anniversary. To celebrate these amazing 20 years, they are unveiling two limited editions, each with just 20 pieces. One is the LM Perpetual Longhorn and the other is the LM Sequential Flyback Longhorn. These special creations feature a striking mix of stainless steel cases, rhodium-plated baseplates, glossy black lacquer dials, blued hands, and, of course, the distinctive long lugs or "horns" that give them their name.
The Longhorn concept actually dates back to 2009, during the design phase of MB&F’s first Legacy Machine, the LM1. The idea of elongating the lugs—giving them a more dramatic, horn-like appearance—was appealing visually, but raised practical challenges, especially regarding the placement of the spring bars. The positioning—either close to the case or at the tip of the lug—could lead to an imperfect fit depending on wrist size. So, the long horns were swapped for shorter ones, and the idea was abandoned, or so it seemed.
Fast forward to 2021, for the LM1's 10th anniversary, and although the series was officially closed, one prototype remained to commemorate the occasion. In a bold move, the brand revisited the long horns concept, but with a twist: two holes were drilled into the lugs—one near the case, the other at the tip of the horn—allowing the wearer to choose the fit. This unique piece was crafted in stainless steel and featured glossy black subdials against a rhodium-plated baseplate, a striking inverse of the LM’s classic white dials.
MB&F LM Perpetual Longhorn
The first limited edition is the LM Perpetual Longhorn, featuring MB&F’s GPHG award-winning perpetual calendar, first launched in 2015. Designed in collaboration with independent watchmaker Stephen McDonnell, the movement is a marvel of innovation: a 581-component, fully integrated, purpose-built caliber that overcomes the typical drawbacks of traditional perpetual calendars. McDonnell’s unique “mechanical processor” eliminates the risk of date-skipping or gear jamming, as the adjuster pushers automatically deactivate when the calendar changes.
In this special 20-piece edition, McDonnell’s visually stunning in-house movement gets a fresh look, enhanced by the Longhorn lugs and a refined black, silver, and blue color palette. The case in stainless steel measures 44 mm x 17.5 mm and is composed of 69 parts offering a water resistance to 30 meters.

MB&F LM Sequential Flyback Longhorn
The second limited edition, the LM Sequential Flyback Longhorn, is inspired by the LM Sequential—the recipient of the prestigious GPHG Aiguille d’Or in 2022. Also designed by McDonnell, the LM Sequential was MB&F’s first-ever chronograph and 20th caliber, originally introduced as the LM Sequential EVO. Packed with technical innovations, the LM Sequential featured the “Twinverter” binary switch, enabling independent timing, split-second, cumulative, and lap-timer modes. The Flyback version takes it even further, adding the flyback function on top of all previous timing modes.
Now, with Longhorn lugs, blued hands, and glossy black subdials, this second 20-piece limited edition is a perfect way to celebrate MB&F’s 20th anniversary in style. The movement provides a power reserve of 72 hours and is composed of 619 parts with 63 jewels.
The case in stainless steel measures 44 mm x 18.2 mm and is composed of 88 parts offering a water resistance of 30 meters.
