Things to Know About the Watch
The Chopard L.U.C Qualité Fleurier is equipped with a 39 mm case in Lucent Steel with a thickness of 8.92 mm, this unprecedented model has been fitted with a resized crown and wolf fang lugs, and a very elegant and functional silver-toned monochrome sector-type dial.
The Silver brass-based sector dial features a sunburst satin-brushed finish in the center and a circular satin finish on the chapter ring. The sector dial transports us to the era of vintage timepieces and greater attention to detail. The seconds’ subdial is recessed and the dial features a sunburst finish. Applied triangular hour markers complete the look of the circular satin finish on the chapter ring.
Sector dials, characterized by their segmented design, have become a distinctive feature in the world of watchmaking. These dials typically divide the surface into different sections, often using various colors or textures to create a striking visual effect. Originally popularized in the mid-20th century, sector dials were commonly associated with chronographs and military watches, designed for ease of readability and functionality. Their unique aesthetic appeals to collectors and enthusiasts alike, as each sector often serves a practical purpose, such as indicating seconds or hours. This blend of style and utility makes sector dials a fascinating choice for those seeking a watch that combines heritage with contemporary flair.
