Living a lavish lifestyle involves indulging in luxury experiences and possessions like this top-of-the-line set that we consider essential. Enjoying the finest things that money can buy and the constant pursuit of the most extravagant pleasures is a huge part of the watch life.

Backgammon is a strategic board game that involves two players moving their pieces around a board based on dice rolls. The objective of the game is to be the first to bear off all of one's pieces from the board. Players must balance risks and rewards while considering probability and potential moves. Originating in the Middle East, backgammon has a rich history dating back over 5,000 years, making it one of the oldest known board games. The mix of skill and chance in backgammon has made it a beloved pastime for players worldwide, especially among the affluent and stylish.

The board is divided into two sides, the home board or inner board with the first six points and then the outer board with points seven through twelve. The 24 points alternate colors forming a continuous track. Each player begins with fifteen chips, two chips are placed on their 24-point, three on their 8-point, and five each on their 13-point and their 6-point. The two players move their chips —15 in total— in opposing directions, from the 24-point towards the 1-point. Once a player has all his/her chips in his/her home board, then he/she will proceed to take these out to defeat his/her opponent.

The Cartier Panthère de Cartier Backgammon set is 100% made of high-gloss lacquered wood in a beautiful white color and it measures approximately 16” long x 17” wide x 2.4” tall —41 cm x 43 cm x 6 cm. Made in France this lavish backgammon set is the ultimate luxury for lovers of Cartier watches and the brand.

Highly detailed, this lacquered wood backgammon set features gold points and a black panther that is laying at the center flanked by two green cypress trees and a red fringe. The emblematic feline linked to Cartier inspires you to play bolder, brighter, and more daring than ever before.

The set features two storage drawers for the chips and dice —a white and black set and a black doubler die— that hide underneath the board and are released by pushing them inward so that they spring back out.

The base of the drawers is covered in super soft beige fabric resembling suede, the chips are made of galalith —a synthetic plastic material manufactured by the interaction of casein and formaldehyde— and the dice are made of five resin. Next time you’re playing backgammon in Saint-Tropez make sure this set is by your side. Not a travel set but just imagine the luxury of carrying this set with you on your next European vacation.
