Introducing: Carl Suchy & Söhne Belvedere Titan
Following the successful launch of the Belvedere last year —read our hands-on review—, now Carl Suchy & Söhne is pleased to present a new iteration of the Belvedere collection in a full titanium case instead of stainless steel as in the previous references. The new Carl Suchy & Söhne Belvedere Titan features a case in hypoallergenic titanium measuring 40 mm in diameter and a gorgeous grey dial.
Titanium is very light, highly scratch-resistant, and corrosion-resistant. Ideal for the sporting demands of an active life, yet supple and elegant with a matt sheen. The Belvedere Titan is a clear statement of the highest art of watchmaking, a characteristic shared by all Carl Suchy & Söhne timepieces.
The targeted emphasis on color and material underlines the sportiness of the Belvedere Titan subtly. The elegance comes to the fore in an altered appearance, with the golden second hand shining with detail and functionality at the same time. A special feature of the Belvedere wristwatches is the unique date display, which is also present in the titanium version. The moving date window, which advances day by day, not only guarantees excellent legibility but also creates a vibrancy on the dial —a sophisticated design reminiscent of the dynamic seconds’ disc of the Waltz No. 1.
The watch is powered by the automatic calibre CSS201, which is built upon a Dubois Dépraz DB9000 and ETA 2892/2A. The movement provides a power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound while beating at a frequency of 28,800 vph and is fully visible via the display case back. The beautifully finished movement is equipped with a gold-plated ring and oscillating weight engraved with the facade of the Belvedere Palace and the individual number for the watch.
The watch is delivered on a very supple integrated grey rubber strap equipped with quick-release spring bars and secured by a deployment steel folding clasp. On the interior side, the strap features a beautiful pattern inspired by the Baroque shapes in the gardens at the Belvedere Palace in Vienna.
Sticker Price 9,900 Euro —approximately USD 10,700. For more info on Carl Suchy & Söhne click here.
