Baselworld 2016: Presenting the new Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time ref. 5164R-001. Hands-on Review, Live Pictures & Pricing.
As a first big surprise at Baselworld 2016, Patek Philippe is presenting a new model in the regular collection that pairs two highly popular complications in one watch. The Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time ref. 5164 available in stainless steel up until now, is now also available in 18K rose gold as presented today at Baselworld 2016 from where we bring you this hands-on review with live pictures.
The new rose gold model comes with a stunning brown embossed dial perfectly matching the tropical brown rubber strap with double-folding clasp.
The case measuring 40.8 mm in diameter is exquisitely finished with a satin brushed finish and mirror polished edges on its bezel. The color combination of the brown dial and the 18K rose gold case, make up for an amazing looking timepiece. The watch is water resistant to 120 meters.
The new Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time ref. 5164R-001 is powered by the automatic movement calibre 324 S C FUS with dual time zone mechanism indicating local and home time, local and "home" day/night indications in apertures and local date by hand. The movement is composed of 294 parts, 29 jewels and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph to provide a power reserve of 45 hours. The movement is fully visible via the display case back.
On the wrist, the watch wears true to its size and perhaps one millimeter bigger. The wrist presence is out of this world and by far better looking than its stainless steel counterpart.
